Masoli to stay at Oregon

I felt he should have to give back his scholarship and be fully dismissed. I see a difference between a kid getting a DU, tackling a woman who had stolen his car keys, or getting into a fight as opposed to an intent to rob people.

Masoli could have gone to any of a few hundred boosters and gotten a few thousand in small bills. But he didn't.

At this point, who would take him? He's better off making amends and proving to pro scouts it was a lapse in judgment.

wait is that what LaMichael James did?

wait is that what LaMichael James did?

James was confronted by an upset "ex" who tore a necklace off him, grabbed his set of keys and dashed out the aprtment. He chased her to get his keys back and tackled her in some bark dust. Aside from that, he didn't lay a hand on her.

She's supposed to be getting out of the hospital in about two weeks. ;)

Aside from the tackle? I don't believe that is what the report stated.

I could be wrong, but that is my understanding.

While James held on to her arms, Siebenlist grabbed his necklace and told James she wouldn't let go unless he let her go.

"During the ensuing push-and-pull, the defendant's necklace broke and he became angry," according to the DA.

James grabbed Siebenlist by her collar and pushed her against his car. Siebenlist got in James' car and pulled his keys from the ignition. James grabbed Siebenlist to pull her from his car, but she kept his keys and ran from the car.

I'm not trying to say anything about him being at fault, or that she wasn't acting out. Just going off of court document, he had her by the arms, grabbed her by the collar, pushed her against his car, and grabbed her out of the car. THEN, he tackled her. More contact than just the tackle.

Did you guys ever read the police report?

No one actually saw Masoli with anything. I think he was set up by Beaver fans. A giant conspiracy.

OK, that clarifies things for me. What a bitch. James is OK by me.

Why wouldn't he? I've seen some of the laptops that UO students are carrying these days...

This is not a surprise. Masoli will be the starting QB in 2011. The Ducks have no shame.

Because he probably runs in the high 4.5's or low 4.6's. He wont be able to run over guys at the next level.

You think Masoli can play FB in the NFL?

similar body size. Masoli was running routes today in Srping Practice. Have you seen footage that proves he cant?

He's never played a down in college at RB. He's MAYBE 5'9" but probably closer to 5'8". The link you provided about Hester has pretty much every potential NFL prospect in the country. Even guys from Portland State. Masoli isnt listed anywhere that I can find. Why do you think that is?

Jordan Kent also only played barely more than a year of football. 6th Round.

Kent was also a fantastic athlete. Teams are more likely to take a chance on a great athlete they think they can mold into a football player, as opposed to a running QB with legal troubles who's never played RB, and think they can make him a RB. There's so many legit RBs in college, who have spent years running the position. If Masoli was a supreme athlete, I would say maybe. As is, is the CFL still around?

Well I think him being molded into an RB is part of the reason he is hanging around personally. But I doubt it would be because he thinks he is an NFL QB.. if so, he will be dissappointed.

Still, his thinking is he's going to stick around all year, and then all of 2011, and hope to get drafted in the late rounds and stick with a team? He should try to get on a CFL or arena team now as a RB, and learn while getting paid.

possible. Then maybe he figures Why not finish out his education and get a degree.. and thats whats getting him his scholarship. I'm not sure.
