Here's the reason why I like Plumlee -

He's smart. He understands the game. He knows what's going on.

He's athletic. He runs the floor. He attacks the rim.

He's young and he's improving.

Also, he can pass the fucking rock! I love seeing him with the ball in his hands 10-15 feet extended and hitting our cutters with on the money bounce passes. Both he and Ed Davis have shown a lot of court vision early on this season and it's a beautiful sight to behold!

Actually Cj showed a lot early in his career even though he wasn't consistent but their was atleast every 4 or 5 games were he would kill front to finish. His problem was just staying on the court or getting minutes. Meyers yes i did clown on him but hes mainly a spot up shooter and thats about it

HAHAHA... no he didnt. I mean many of us new he would be better, but he showed us next to nothing because of injuries and when he did come in he kinda sucked. Check the trade CJ thread?????

Plumlee summary:
Pluses:
Can jump well.
Can pass very well.
Doesn't take shots he can't hit.

Minuses:
Can't hit many shots
Mediocre rebounder
Mediocre shot-blocker

He's pretty meh. Denver could find a Serbian version of him in the second round, no problem.

He's averaging 8 rebounds per game in a starting lineup where Aminu is averaging 7.7 per game and Dame is averaging 4.2. I don't think he's "mediocre."

Seriously. Rasta, usually you are pretty on the mark from what I read, but you are way off on this., Mediocre rebounder? Last 2 games were double doubles...

Plum looks to me like the center of the future and the way centers were SUPPOSED to be. When did centers require a good outside shot? NEVER.
His game is and SHOULD be inside.... and he is damned good at the inside game from what I have seen so far. We haven't had a center that can roll to the hoop like him since...???

Plum averages 8.1 rebounds in 28 minutes of action ... How again is that considered mediocre? He'd easily average a double-double if he played 34-36 minutes a night.

Probably the post of yours I disagree with the most....sorry Rasta...Plumlee is not going to be replaced by any Euro big anytime soon. He is young, smart and plays to his strengths. I think acquiring him was one of Olshey's best offseason moves this season

He mediocre rebounder he starting grab more than 10 rebounds a game lately no he no Drummond but he becoming a decent rebounder.

Because his brothers cant play near as well. I think thats the missing part of this. Hard to find guys like Plums. . Yeah Plums are all over the place, but not with his athleticism and upside.
Marshall has looked pretty good early in this college season.

Deadspin called out the Nets for such a bad trade the night of the draft.

"Just two years into his career, the Duke product has carved out a fun little niche, establishing himself among the best transitional centers in the league. According to Synergy Sports, he scored 1.37 points per play in transition last season, and scored on over 72 percent of his transition plays."

How about the one where they gave up the #6 for Gerald Wallace?

Plums has a 19.6 PER after last night. Inf fact, our top for PER performers are

Dame
Plums
Davis
CJ

I perversely want to see a lineup of Dame, CJ, Meyers, Davis, Plumlee. Good luck guarding our 7'1" SF, jackholes!

Yes, but good god that frontcourt can't shoot for shit.

Or conversely:

"Have fun scoring on our 7'1" SF, jackholes!"

What's he going to do, drive by our 7'1" SF straight into our other two centers?

quick, someone tell rasta that Plumlee was born in Latvia. His name is Masonovic Plumleeovich.
If you're going to try to come up with fake Eastern European names, go with Bulgaria. In one World Cup every single one of their players had a name ending in -ov.

That would've been obvious though.

Aminu passing to another player? Only by accident!

Maybe we can trade Aminu for Thrill and run him at point.

Yeah.....when we signed Aminu I was hoping he had some untapped playmaking potential like Batum did under McMillan.

Turns out, nope. Aminu sees one thing: the basket. Oh, and buckets, but not a lot of them because he throws up a bunch of garbage.
