The irony of the same posters who are rightfully denouncing this act of gun violence with guns also mocking me for saying something about guns directed at me on this board isn't lost on me, either.

"Jon just took a bullet for me," Young, a 21-year-old who recently became a certified veterinarian technician, told TODAY.

The couple, dating since October, according to Young, had been surprised to be able to get tickets on the day of the popular movie’s premiere.

When the alleged assailant, James Eagan Holmes, began his attack on the crowd, Blunk, who Young said had some military experience, knew what was going on, Young said.

"He knew and threw me on the ground, and was like, 'We have to get down and stay down,'" she told NBC News.

In the chaos that ensued, Young recalled hearing a woman screaming, "I've been shot,” and a man who stepped on the chair she was hiding under crying out, “Jessie’s been shot.” She heard the constant "boom, boom, boom" of the guns and smelled the gunpowder.

"There was kind of a break in between each gunshot,” she said. "Every gunshot, I was like, 'This is it … I'm done for.'"

The one constant for her during the attack was Jon's arms pushing her under the seat to keep her out of the line of fire. At one point, she felt herself get struck, and showed a reporter about a dozen marks on her left torso that she believes may have been from shrapnel.

"I kind of felt that in multiple places,” she said of the marks. Then, she said, "Jon gave me one good push against that concrete again and then … I didn’t really feel his arms against my back anymore but I knew he was still there."

At first, she didn’t think he had been shot, but knew something had happened.

"I guess I didn’t really know he had passed, up until I started shaking him and saying, 'Jon, Jon we have to go … it's time for us to get out of here,'" she said, her voice trembling.

When Young wiggled out from under the seat, few people were left in the theater. She saw some people crawling on the ground, a few still in their seats and others running out.

She tried to pull Blunk up by the shoulder, but he didn’t move, and she assumed he was dead.

Blunk's estranged wife, Chantel Blunk, who lives in Reno, Nev., with their two kids, confirmed to NBC News that the FBI said Blunk was indeed killed in the theater.

“He is the guy that would take a bullet for you. He did the right thing all the time,” Young said. “I know I would not be here today if Jon had not been next to me in that movie theater.”

Aside from the differences in the photos, wasn't that photo on the left (the one provided to the media) released by Univ. of Colorado? I never understood why his university photo looked exactly like a mugshot.
 
Even their lip structure looks different. WTF !! How can that be the same guy?

Have any legitimate media sources dealt with the apparent differences in the photos?

So far, all I've been reading are articles from second rate websites that are at either one extreme or the other. It's either that he's a 'fake' person sent by the CIA with some gun control agenda, or everyone is over exaggerating the differences, because clearly, if you smile, it looks like we've all had nose jobs.

Are there any legitimate, neutral sources that're bothering with the differences in photos?

The "legitimate" media doesn't care about the truth. And the only thing that makes them "legitimate" is that they've been around for a long time and there's a perceived validation that goes with being on TV or being in print. It's all bullshit though. There's no such thing as pure journalism and everyone has an agenda.

Just Say Nobama says, "Heh... I'm slightly skeptical as to how "alone" Holmes was in all this. A brilliant college student suddenly goes nuts and decides to kill and cause chaos, so he stockpiles thousands of dollars worth of guns, ammo and gear, sets up "sophisticated" traps in his apartment (and then warns the cops about it)... all on an unemployment check. Riiiight. There are also other odd circumstances like blood spatters that start thirty yards past his car and go BACK INTO the theater, and speculation of a second gas mask 100 yards from his car. And he took 2 assault rifles with him why? You can only use one at a time. What about the multiple eye witness accounts suggesting an accomplice? I also like how drugged he looked in court. Maybe he's faking it... yet... it also seems to fall in line with symptoms of MK Ultra subjects. It's not like his family had any ties with the military industial complex. And it's not like the Anshultz Medical School is a former military base... wait... what?

Fortunately though, Dan Oates, former Chief of Police Intelligence in NYC, buddy of Michael Bloomberg (big time anti-gun activist) and current Chief of Police in Aurora had dozens of cops and SWAT on the scene within 2 minutes. That's reassuring to know that the police state is ready for this kind of thing (sarcasm). Fortunately the UN is putting the final touches on the small arms treaty as we speak. It'll stop things like this from happening in the future (again, sarcasm).

I'm waiting to see how all of the evidence unfolds as this goes to trial... but come on people. This reeks of a PSYOPS move by Big Bro... the same Big Bro that let THOUSANDS of guns get into the hands of known criminals in an attempt to further their own political agenda."
