Certainly. Absolutely.

Sanity test before buying a gun?

Sanity test would require a constitutional amendment. Not nearly enough people are impacted to motivate 3/4 of states to agree on such action.

Violent criminals should be prevented from owning weapons. The 14th amendment allows for this kind of government restriction right now.

We should mark the ID of every restricted person (every state has this capability already). Supplying these people with weapons should be a felony with a fine and jail time. As well as a firearm restriction.

To ensure constitutionality, there should be a court to which people can appeal their restrictions. This court could also handle no fly list appeals.

The right would accept this. They are perfectly fine with restricting criminals and they want a court to appeal red flag rulings to.

I highly doubt this is happening because of a lack of "free" healthcare. Again, we've always had a plethora of guns in this country and yet this phenomena is relatively new. There's something clearly toxic that's polluting the minds of our young people.

There is no free healthcare. Only limits access healthcare access.

Much of our violent crime and murder rates are certainly caused by lack of access to healthcare, including mental health care.
