...checked the address of the shooting...it happened 2 1/2 miles from the hospital my wife was at. No way she'd ever be at a video game tourney like that but 2 1/2 miles is still pretty close.

I was at the shopping center in the Tucson area, La Toscana Village mall, exactly one week before that deranged character shot and permanently disfigured Gabrielle "Gabby" Giffords, House Representative representing the 8th Congressional district in the Phoenix area. The shooter killed six and wounded 18.

I had a cousin that was in Clackamas Mall when the shooter turned it into a hell hole. She was able to text that she was safe, but that was a little too close to home.

This poor boy and his family IN NO WAY wanted him to be born this way. It's hell on both parents, siblings and him. My son. Who is 15 suffers from extreme anger. Has absolutely zero ability to let stuff go and is really impulsive.

He is on these same types of meds, and it sucks. He cries after an outburst because he doesn't want to be this way. My son is not a nutjob, and my wife and I have been happily married for 28 years. He sees a therapist weekly, and it's still a massive struggle. These kids.....and adults need help, not criticism for something they can't control

His father disputed the necessity of the drugs and a psychiatric evaluation sought by David's mother, suggesting that his son instead "attend a support group for middle school students." "Richard Katz has seen no evidence whatsoever of schizophrenia in David Katz," a motion from his father's lawyer said.

Ti'Andre Montana, who graduated a year ahead of Katz, remembered him as a video gamer who "was antisocial."

"He stayed to himself ... he didn't talk much," Montana said. "He was a good guy. I couldn't image him doing such thing."

Drew Ford, who graduated in 2011 alongside Katz, only spoke to him a few times. But he remembered his reserved demeanor.

"He was a quiet kid, but when you talked to him he seemed cool," Ford said.

While it hits you at home (and it's a pretty classless and ignorant thing to say), you seem to have forgotten that Maris just says shit to say shit. It's his shtick. It definitely needs the occasional "off button" tho.
