Completely serious question: at what point does a person's mental concept of their sexuality become "approved"? I mean, this person has a penis and was married but considers themself a woman and has started taking court-approved hormones and medicines for the disorder. Is the person a male until the operation? Male until he starts taking hormone therapy? Female as soon as he/she thinks he is?
Not that it's super-relevant to this case, but I have no idea and am curious.
im pretty sure he is still a man, just now he has a mutilated anusright?
i mean denny, there are people who think they are robots, does that mean that they ARE robots?
FIFY
Not sure what joke you're trying to make, but transgender doesn't necessarily mean someone will be attracted to once sex more than another once they've made the decision. It means they identify as being a man or a woman, but they could be attracted to either men or women. Last I heard, that gynecologist was still with his wife...although it's been a long time and who knows if they still are.
i would think that with faux girl parts it isnt the anus thats gonna be getting the workout

If she's a woman in a man's body, she's a woman. All along.

right?

As a kid I rode the bus with folks that thought they were napoleon Joan of arc and jesus. Pay for an operation!
If the government is stupid enough to pay for it there will be plenty of doctors lining up to do it.
There are no operations for those things. Gender identity is a biological issue, not a psychological one.
Yes, it's amazing that the board's conservatives like taxpayers paying for this person's medical care, but not for us other prisoners of this conservative system.
I don't think this person should have his sex change operation paid for by the state.
Okay. Posts 4, 7, and 19 seemed to argue the opposite, in the context of the posts to which they responded.
