Anybody else care? I've boogie-boarded at the Banzai Pipeline on the North Shore of Oahu, but never with waves over 10', and the drop-off about 200' out from shore to the break at Banzai is freaky enough in warm water. Mavericks is just sick and there a ton of sharks there.

I just read this post 3 times and still don't understand a word of what you typed........ or the title of the thread. HELP!

I'll translate into something you can relate to. Just imagine basketball = surfing.

Title of Post: Game 7 of the NBA Finals is on Sunday.

Anybody else care? I've played Pop a Shot at Chuck E Cheese, but never against anyone or with a regulation basketball. But I look forward to watching LeBron in the NBA Finals this year.

seriously though, the shit is crazy as fuck. dunno how'd they do it. i don't want to surf because of the damend sharks!

I keep meaning to go out to watch this some time since it's less than an hour away. Watching people surf 40' waves must be pretty intense. Actually some of the waves have gotten so big that spectators have died before.

Maybe you shouldn't go.

Long-time bodyboarder and surfer, though I rarely get out these days. Was actually there (as a spectator) the day Mark Foo drowned out there in December 1994.

No Slater. No Dorian. No Burle.

Three huge names in the big-wave circuit out? Lame.

Just watched Chasing Mavericks. Not bad.

Moriarty died way too young. Ironically, while diving.

When I was 12, living in Hawaii, I killed a hammerhead shark.

It was smaller than this one, but still...
