because this fight is beyond hyped
I know there is a ton of hype around this fight, but I do believe this will be a classic! Those two will battle in there! Can't wait FAMS! Sept 16th in Vegas! The real fight everyone should be excited for is Canelo/GGG. Now that is a real boxing match. Am I right @HCP ?
Are you going to be working that one? I know you aren't supposed to brag about how dope your job is, but that would be pretty hecking dope.I know there is a ton of hype around this fight, but I do believe this will be a classic! Those two will battle in there! Can't wait FAMS! Sept 16th in Vegas!

This, a lot of people who don't watch MMA kind of just think it's a knock out fest. Much more technical than that and can be as artistic as anything else
Huh?I've been watching UFC since it began. There are no more Gracie's or Ken Shamrock's. The sport is nothing like it used to be and no longer as beautiful as it was. It's straight up ground-and-pound and not nearly as beautiful as a Roy Jones fight.
Huh?
Almost all of the current UFC champions use a ton of stand up. I don't know what fights you've been watching but the beautiful thing about mma is what technician will win out.
The stand up guy? The wrestler? The bjj guy? The grappler?
Want to watch an old great fight, watch Marvin Hagler and Roberto Duran....13 rounds....Hagler won by decision after almost losing in the 10th...epic boxing match. Hagler vs Hearns maybe the best fight ever for middle weights....then Hagler got ripped off on his last match with Sugar Ray and retired, knowing he'd won that fight...one of the biggest fixes in boxing history...Sugar Ray clearly lost that decision but somebody wanted him to win...great era for boxing the 80s..Marvin retired with a 62-3-2 record but held the championship for 7 straight years. Should have been 63-2-2
a while ago while conor was just getting popular he had this bullshit movement coach. I assume he still believes in these silly movement exercises, who knows. Look at this horseshit. man bun and everything

Another great fight to watch, just for pure excitement is Jon Jones vs Alexander Gustafssonfor anyone who isn't familiar with how beautiful the mma can be, I suggest watching Tyson Griffin vs Clay Guoda. Maybe the best technical match in MMA history.
Anyone else think this might be fixed?
Comparing stand up to boxing is like comparing apples to asparagus.
good pointNot me. The Don King days are all but over I think. Dana White doesn't F around. I don't think he would allow that and I think he is savvy enough to figure it out if it was happening behind his back. He knows how hard he has had to work to make MMA a viable sport. I don't think he would risk all that for a potential fraud exposure.
What i meant to say, is have y'all seen this?

I bought this ten years ago. Such a fun watch. Especially when drunk. It's ludikwis!
Just saying i don't know what fights you were watching. Ground and pound is something that happens but it's not more prevalent today.
Check out this fight.
Boxing plays into what mcgregor wants to do all the time in the UFC..standup. The problem is missed/defended shots will cost him points against mayweather. He's going to have to play it smart and pick his spots. It's fascinating to me. Everyone thinks they know what's going to happen but no one really does, on either side. The guy has literally never been in a match, so how could we? All just educated guesses at best. Fuck the haters. I can't wait.
