Not sure you can really crack on Canzano and quote Quick as a good source? Kind of feel the same for both of them.

daayyummm!

i never got a notification. But also not sure how long code lasts or what not. Not even sure if i did it correctly. Lol.
30K Storm X isn't really very much? I did use the code but i had to set an account up to fund it. Took about a week for me to get it going with the deposit and verification thing they do.

Quick was a beat writer who traveled with the team and was at every game and practice. Canzano is an opinion columnist who bases most of his articles on feelings. He’s really not much different than anyone on here. They’re not the same. At all.

Beat writer yes but as i understand he is not well liked and they won't really speak to him? This is all hearsay but it's pretty well established hearsay. Quick has few friends within the organization.

You guys realize that Jody Allen doesn't actually owner the Blazers, right?

The Paul G. Allen Trust owns the Blazers.

Jody Allen is the chairperson.

But that doesn't mean she is free to do whatever the hell she wants.

I'm part of a family trust.

Certain assets, especially the more valuable ones can have certain limitations, conditions, or rules placed on them by the person, this case Paul Allen, who set up the trust.

Paul could have placed strict limitations or conditions on the Blazers. Like, can't sell until the team wins the championship.

Some in the media and in her are portraying her to be Curella De Basketball. But what exactly has she done or is doing wrong? She's not running the team for profit like Donald Sterling. She's not making roster decisions. She's letting the GM that PA hired spend freely.

I'm seeing complaints that she's not doing enough and she's doing too much. And those are being said often by the same people.

She's an easy target, with reasons that sounds plausible enough to believe.

Do you think that Bert as the head of Vulcan Sports is the one really involved, even more so than Jody. I just think he's a lot more involved behind the scenes than we hear about.

I don't really know. We don't see him at training camps or predraft workouts so I don't think he's involved in roster decisions. He might give opinions on coaching hires. He might be involved in the hiring of our next GM. Not sure if that's a bad thing.

He was Pauls second in command and was with him from day one. As head of Vulcan Sports I would say he oversees/with Jody both the Seachickens & Blazers.

that's why I say the ownership is the Vulcans

I'm also not going to limit my comments because the Vulcans may, or may not, be limited by covenants of the trust. I've got to be free. dammit, and no milk-bone lover is going to piss on my freedom...am I doing that right?

besides that, I'd bet the covenants don't say Olshey is GM forever, toxic work environment is good, CJ is a superstar and can never be traded, trade 1st round picks for role players, sign shit TV deals, or play musical chairs with Callabro.

Yes but what does he oversee exactly? He's not making roster decisions. Out of the Seahawks and Blazers the only big decisions that have been made since PA passed has been Billups as coach and Hankins now as team president. Those both seem solid.

Yeah, he has Olshey and the Seahawks pres under his chain of command, so he's just signing off being informed on all plans, goals, & performance. I would guess if a trade involved Dame and/or CJ he would need to sign off on.

So you're a Vulcan dog?

...might be an easier sell than the Blazers in the coming years :biglaugh: it sure has been the last couple of games!

Even in 2005-2006, we still drew three times what Detroit currently does for games. We saw the product last week - as bad as the Blazers are currently playing, Detroit was 20 points worse.
