Would DM be a #5 or 6 D on a lot of teams? Hell yeah he could, 100%, but the problem is "every" team has "young" guys in the AHL/in there system thats gonna be NHL ready, as they think, thats just how NHL works. The fact is they rather have there guys they drafted and bring them along then somebody else's, the fact NOBODY picked this dude up on waivers should tell you guys something, there are TERRIBLE DEFENSIVE teams out there and DEFENSEMAN ARE RARE NOW A DAYS. at least good ones.... so theres something wrong, From what i've seen hes been decent at best but looking at how the pens won the cup last year with speed i dont think theres a place for him personally. My 2 cents. and Boston is desperate for Dmen, so is Flyers, blue jackets, Dont give me this cap space B.S for 800k rental. You as well and i know if a team picked him up and gave him a extension he would sign one almost immediately since he is most likely not gonna be in this league for a long time
