Not saying I would want him, but is he damaged goods? Could he help Portland, or any other contenders in the West?

He believes he is more clutch than Lillard and would demand the ball in close game situations. He would pout if he didn't get it. He's a fucked up version of Kobe.
I agree... What about other contenders? I don't think any contenders in the west would be interested.
I hope lots of contenders want him. It would instantly make then not contenders.

If you want to look for a go-to scorer and offer up anyone outside Lillard/Aldridge I think you look at soon-to-be UFA Marc Gasol.
Josh.
Smith.
Melo is possibly The Worst "superstar" ever to build a team around. A selfish ballhog who shoots a shitty percentage, who usually loses, and who makes his teammates WORSE, the egomanical Melo is the epitome of worst the NBA has to offer.
What about him? He's a bad shooter who is already stealing shots from Harden. Yes, they won the game, but long term, this will hurt them.
Ive been thinking the same thing. Especially in the playoffs they will let him hold and grab and he can stay on Aldridge away from the basket.Smith's had a lot of success guarding LMA in the past. Smith also had some great offensive outputs against LMA.
Don't be surprised if Smith neutralize LMA somewhat.
Melo would thrive here, assuming he bought into the 6th man role.
I think the Bulls and their fans are glad they dodged a bullet here
we are
