Melo traded to OKC

Well I'm very relieved that at least we'll have Harkless at SF. Whew!
Now let's see if we can trade Turner at some point this season. Who needs a SG/SF?
Ya because Harkless is just so damn good. Sorry I still think the Blazers can do better for a starting SF.

So all the Seattle haters should be joyful right?

Wait, don't even reply.

Knicks can never have too much depth at C.

Hernangomez
Noah
Kanter
O'Quinn

Noah doesn't count. He won't play much as he is awful.

They will put O'Quinn up for a trade and I would not mind taking him here. Also, Kanter can and will play as power forward. They will IMO trade Porzingis during season.

Why, is this supposed to somehow hurt Seattle?
Ok, I should've qualified this more. It (might) increase OKCs chances, which might stress a former Sonics fan such as myself. I know plenty of S2 members hate Seattle, so anything that benefits OKC should theoretically make them happy. Didn't mean to cause a ruckus. On the other hand, OKC is undoubtedly a blazer rival and so I hope we keep Melo from winning a championship.

Regardless of how you feel about Olshey, we can't blame him for failing to upgrade the roster. We put in an amazing offer for PG only to see KP take a horrendous deal from OKC. Pretty safe to say we could have topped the OKC offer had Melo put us on his trade list sooner as well.

It's gotta be extremely frustrating for Dame and CJ. They openly recruit players to come here but for one reason or another, it's just not in the cards. We're really going to bank on internal development to compete in the insanely difficult Western Conference this year. Also, we need at least one of the two young rookies to really pan out.

Ugh, another irritating day to be a Blazers fan.

Shit, well tbere went any chance at winning the NW division. And still, the Blazers can't bring a star to Portland. Are the Blazers lepers or something. Oh well, at least its over.

It's not the blazers. It's our damn city.

I think we've established that young, rich, short sighted, generally uneducated, club-life seeking pro athletes don't like portland. We are doing something right.

Cool.... so...... role players? We can have role players. I don't think that's going to result in a championship anytime soon.

At least the rockets got fucked...well until next season...unless he follows Lebron and George to the Lakers

At least we can retire B-TWolves jersey with a good conscience now.

It has to be said though that OKC front office have done tremendous job after Durant left. They basically turned an expiring Ibaka into Oladipo and Sabonis who they kept for a season before moving both of them for a season of George (or more if they do well and he likes it there). That's a great return for an expiring player who had his best season two years before the trade.

They somehow managed to offload a bad deal they gave Kanter for a superstar. Not only they don't have Kanter anymore, they actually got a good player in return.

There are ways to make their current lineup work. Either they play George at SF and Anthony at PF which means Roberson plays next to Westbrook. He can't shoot but surrounded by shooters you can make him get away with that and he plays great defense. You can also play George in the backcourt and Patterson at PF, Anthony at SF. Who knows. Adams is also a good player, well overpaid at $25M a year but good. They will probably trade him for Klay Thompson knowing their luck.

Now THAT would be a player worth spending assets on! Add draft picks to this:

We don't have the assets to get it done unless we offer CJ.

My bet is on Boston with Jaylen Brown and two picks (including the one that 76ers owe them and probably Grizzlies 2019) heading the opposite direction or Suns for Jackson and one of Chriss and Bledsoe.
