That was the only one of the ones I listed that I generated myself. The others came from friends of mine.

Never even occurred to me. Unintentional pun FTW!I was amused that you used bullet points.
Seriously, if these reports are true, he just took a bullet to save kids. Hope he recovers quicklySounds like he is a hero. No joke.
Very poor tasteIt might just be me, but the idea of making puns about a guy being shot while protecting children seems awful strange.
They are funny, be amusedThe B-Roy jokes are flying around Twitter:
I'm unsure if I'm amused or disappointed.
- "This isn't news--Roy's legs were shot years ago."
- "Best defense we've seen from a Blazer in years."
- "Excellent shot blocker for a guy his size."
- "If there's a hole in his game, it's in his legs."
HahahaI was amused that you used bullet points.
The world sucks. The kids are ok, Roy wasn't hury too horribly. Sometimes laughter is a good thing....Actually most of the time it's a good thingIt might just be me, but the idea of making puns about a guy being shot while protecting children seems awful strange.
I don't see it as making fun of him or his bravery. It's possible to honor the man and use humor to relieve tension. It's a relief he's OK, and humor often follows when someone escapes a dangerous situation. When Ronald Reagan got shot and was asked if he was OK he quipped: "All things considered, I'd rather be in Philadelphia" (a famous WC Fields line). Humor is great.I'm super pissed at people making fun of Brandon Roy Valiant effort. Most people would run away in that situation not put themselves in front of the bullets...
We're told the shooter is an adult black male. Cops are looking for all of the men involved.
As for reports the shooting was gang-related, we're told cops are investigating that. We're also told the neighborhood where the shooting took place has a heavy gang presence.
Roy is reportedly back in Washington recovering from his injuries.

I understand where you're coming from, but I also think there's a difference between making fun of someone and finding the humor in a situation. What Roy did was nothing short of heroic, there is no disputing that (assuming the accuracy of the initial reports). Nothing that's been said in this thread--joking or serious--denigrates his selflessness and heroism.I'm super pissed at people making fun of Brandon Roy Valiant effort. If Lillard goes out and gets himself hero-shot will it stop the trade talks?
If Meyers steps in front of a bullet, I doubt the jokes will be so kind.
There is no tension to relieve... Roy has the only tension. Joking about someone being shot is fucking bush league.

Would you feel this way if it were Bonzi, Darius Miles, or JR Rider shot?
Seriously, once filthy rich, why would anyone ever go to Compton willingly?
