People all year argued that we will never get rid of Crabbe without throwing in first round draft pics, and now the bitching shifts to "what, all we got was a TPE?"

Can someone (@Boob-No-More ?) find me the percentages on Crabbe's and Gordon's open 3pt shot percentages, as well as their contested 3pt shot percentages? Could go a long way to figuring out how much of Crabbe's efficiency was his lack of volume from only shooting open shots.

He only had to wait until July 10th. This wasn't a move that took weeks to negotiate, which makes me think it might have been agreed to a couple weeks ago and Olshey might have waited to extend the expiration date until late in July next year, when bargain trade opportunities are more plentiful.

It's a good move if it opens up to opportunity to upgrade the position in the rotation. I've said I don't like Crabbe all summer but I've also said I didn't want to dump him unless we have an upgrade to replace him because we'll do nothing with the saved money and we'd be worse without that upgrade.

So NO paid for a year of Crabbe's new contract to see if he was going to make a leap and be worth his new deal. He didn't. He's not. Cut your losses and move along.
