I think besides Nurk, one could also argue that we got better through the draft as well. Even if it takes a year or two to see it. I mean OKC will be better than us next season, but if they lose George after one year that improvement is short term since they gave up on two pieces to get him.

Houston was pretty good last year. Did they really get better? Or are they the same? Will they win more than 55?
Utah got worse.
Minnesota got better for sure, but thy still do not have what I call an excellent go to guy down the stretch. Butler is a very good player, but I am not sure he can take over a game offensively on a consistent basis.

Denver got better as well with Millsap, but I would put them in the same boat as Minnesota.
Clippers got worse. Did Memphis get better?

It's still July. Things can change.

He will probably succeed in limited ways. I expect to see his scoring go up, but he defensive numbers will remain. He just doesn't seem to have the mental makeup to get him over the top. I like him and wished we could have kept him a bit longer, but have to admit that he had lots of opportunity to turn the corner, and didn't.
