Merged: OT: Sergio a starter for NY!

And you don't need to remind everyone about Pritchard's lack of trading skills. 1) Paying millions to trade 2nd round picks to give away Sergio.

This is your No. 1 example of "Pritchard's lack of trading skills"? Sergio wasn't needed here and didn't want to be here. Moving him was the right thing to do. The millions we paid SAC to take him of our hands would have been wasted paying his salary if we'd kept him. So, it really didn't cost us anything to pay the Kings to take him, and we got to move up a couple spots in the draft by doing so.

Weren't you the one who predicted Sergio would be the next John Stockton and Westphal would be his Frank Layden? I'm pretty sure that was you. So, how'd that work out? I don't seem to recall Layden moving Stockton to 3rd string PG racking up DNPs left and right. Nor do I recall the the Jazz trading him half way through his first season with the team. Other than those minor details, it's working out exactly like you predicted, isn't it?

I listed some per-minute stats a long time ago, humorously comparing Stockton to Sergio.

Ah yes, the desperation ad hominem personal attack. Right on schedule. Can't refute my posts, so you attack me personally. Well you went too far this time. My place of employment and employment status are none of your business.

so this jlprk guy is a whitsitt fan? ......................

(Note to readers in the future: He started 2 threads in reaction to this. He got 2 threads like this merged. No one bothered asking the moderators to merge his 2 threads, though. They're tiny anyway. No one cares to respond to them like they did this one.)

What the hell are you babbling about? I've started a total of one thread since 2/16. Please show me which two threads I supposedly started in reaction to "this".

Why do you make stuff up like this and clutter threads with such useless misinformation. What exactly is the point. Do you think that by posting such blatant lies it somehow discredits me?

I see that "Question" wasn't started by you, only "The Rattler." They should be merged. *Edited*

Re: OT: Sergio a starter for NY!

Well, if he can't succeed in D'Antoni's SSOL, no defense required game plan, his days in the NBA are numbered. This is the perfect storm for him. Crappy team that is tanking to get more ping pong balls, crappy player to beat out for minutes (Duhon has a PER of 10.1 playing in a system that inflates PERs by 15 - 20%), a coach that doesn't even pretend to care about defense.

Look for big numbers all around from Sergio tonight, lots of assists, lots of missed shots and lots of TOs.

BNM

NY doesnt own their pick, no reason to tank.

Let's not fight. Rodriguez wouldn't have wanted that.

More to the point, Rodriguez isn't worth that.

Good luck to the guy in New York, though.

So I turn on NBATV to see how he did, watching the show that follows the game. The only highlight they show is of him going down the lane, being totally rejected, and then Milwaukee running for a big ass dunk on the other end. :ohno:

Have you heard of the Party of No? This is a mentality of trolling on everyone's attempt to be happy. As the board policeman, on how many threads tonight have you left your stinky mark?

And you don't need to remind everyone about Pritchard's lack of trading skills. 1) Paying millions to trade 2nd round picks to give away Sergio. 2) Paying Francis $30M and getting only Frye to give away Zach. 3) See my signature below.

That's why Boob is the only poster on my ignore list.

He's nothing but a cranky old troll who lurks here simply to attack and bait and try to make everyone else as miserable as he obviously is.

So sad.:sigh:

Sergio in tonight's 4pt loss IN BOSTON (I hear they are a good team) was 7-10fg, 3-4 from behind the arc, 1-2ft, 5rbs, 6ast, 1pf, 2stl, 3to, 1blk, 1ba, 18pts.

Damn, 3 TO's? That's not very good :(

I saw that and was amazed.

Kinda glad we finally get to see him in D'Antoni's system.

So whose holding Sergio down? Sergio, or McMillian's system?
