PORTLAND, Ore. – Trail Blazers center Joel Przybilla will undergo surgery on his right patella tendon in the next few days.

Przybilla re-ruptured his right patella tendon Saturday morning after slipping in the shower at his home in Milwaukee, Wis.

He returned to Portland today to undergo an MRI, which revealed the rupture.

Przybilla originally ruptured the tendon in a Dec. 22 game at Dallas. He underwent season-ending surgery on Dec. 24 and was in Milwaukee rehabilitating the injury.

No timetable is available for his return to the court.

Nothing phases me anymore about this season. This might be career-ending for Joel. *sigh*

Anyone who dons a Blazer uniform lately seems to be cursed.

God is a jealous, vengeful God, even when his victims haven't done anything wrong.

Sometimes I feel Blazer fan has it worse than Clipper fan, only because Clipper fan has long since given up on any kind of success for their team. What happened to Blazer fan seems almost too cruel: letting them dream seemingly attainable dreams, then squashing them like a bug.

Even if he never see the court again, he and Andre are pretty nice package of expiring contracts that could possibly land us an All-Star level player next season.

I feel bad for Joel, like really bad, but at this point we've definitely entered the fucking twilight zone and all you can do is laugh before you're killed in some bizarre fashion.

It really depends on the new CBA, which will be going into effect at the same time their contracts are up. If there is a hard cap, they are worthless.

I'd love to hear what you think actually happened. After all, Joel is a pretty crazy guy. Big in to break dancing, wrestling steer, and rugby. IMO, him slipping in the shower, or tripping down the stairs, etc...etc... is extremely plausible considering he's currently rehabbing his knee. Not sure he gets out much, but whatevs....

It's pretty clear Joel was dealing drugs on the mean streets of Milwaukee and a local rival took out his right knee with a tire iron.
