Don't even bother fixing it; a highlight reel can make anyone look good.

How did you know I was Jason Quick? I tried so hard to actually make sense and entertain reasonable ideas...I guess my endless array of trade possibilities without even the slightest documentation is what gave me away. Well, since I've been outted I will just have to go work on my next piece trashing Greg Oden.

Wait a second...."I'm Jason Quick!"

:drumroll:

....just had to Idog!

Blazers, Knicks, Bobcats in 3-way deal;

Portland to NY: Travis + Frye (1 yr)

NY to Cats: Lee

Cats to Portland: Wallace

I would love to get Wallace, but it really depends on what we have to give up. I'm really more a fan of signing someone like Odom to take the starting spot until Batum is ready. We have this cap space. It's the only time we'll have cap space for probably a decade. We should use it to bring in someone to either hold down the point guard spot or the small forward spot while our young guys develop at those positions.

Think about a small-ball team of Rudy, Mills, LMA, Wallace and Batum!!!! Wow!

Quick has updated the speculation and is now saying that the Bobcats are not entertaining offers for Gerald Wallace. Larry Brown sees him as the center piece of the team.

That has to be a typo. If there's one thing you can count on from Larry Brown, is that he believes that Larry Brown is the center piece of any team he coaches.

I don't really know for sure, but everything Pritchard has talked about was that everybody within the organization has a voice. It was in an interview a while back, but Kevin went on and on about it was important for the entire organization to be aligned from the owner, to the management, to the coaches, to the scouts, and all the way down to the players. Every interview you here from Pritchard when it comes to signing or drafting players, he always mentions how Nate feels about it in some form. Pritchard just seems like there is always constant dialogue going on to ensure that the right move is being made. It doesn't seem like lip-service to me, but I don't really know for sure but that's the impression that I get from it all.

I think the one philosophical difference between KP and Nate has always been, Nate has wanted to add veteran pieces to the core since probably the beginning of last season while KP would rather 'let it bake' and 'go to war'.

It got to the point that KP even admitted jokingly that Nate would probably kill him if he brought in more rookies. So far, since last season, we've gotten rid of our third-year backup PG and third-year backup PF and replaced them with three more rookies and a Euro stashee.

I'm sure Nate has a say in things as well, and the great thing about KP is he leaves an open door of communication for everyone to voice their opinion, but ultimately, it's up to him to make the personnel decisions. Nate is just one piece of the puzzle.

Mills? Where's Brandon? But yeah, I'd love to roll out a team of LaMarcus at C and Wallace at PF, with Nicolas and Rudy. That'd be one hell of a team to fast break with.

I like Wallace but in no way shape or form will I put in Batum or Przybilla for him.

How can we trade what we don't have? We renounced Frye's rights to clear cap space. He is now an unrestricted free agent and we no longer hold his Bird rights. He is free to sign anywhere he wants.

Of course, we can use our cap space to re-sign him for more than anyone else is offering him, but I don't see him signing a one-year deal when longer deals are on the table, and I don't see him wanting to go back to New York when teams like Phoenix and Denver are showing interest.

BTW, in the last 8 games Channing started as a Blazer, he averaged 15.4 PPG and 8.5 RPG. I know he stunk pretty bad last season, but I think as a starter on the right team, he could still be a very productive player. If Phoenix trades Amare, I think the Suns could be a good fit for Channing. Plus, it's close to where he went to college.

I think Frye is a better player than his role allowed him to show here. Nate loved Travis as a four. If Frye would have had those minutes, things might have turned out differently.

I am wondering when the first post saying "Why did we dump Frye?" after he has his first big game.

Well history has shown that Frye plays well every other season - and totally sucks the season between. He also plays his best his first season with a new team. So, he's due to have a breakout 2009-10 season for his new club.

LOL did you read the comments in that? "Only way Wallace trade makes sense for them is if Roy is traded for Wallace straight up" to his credit he did say "that wouldnt make sense for Portland" but I still wouldnt trade Oden, or Aldridge for him either, Wallace would at best be 3rd option here.

Or where they bust on Batum and Oden. Yeah..... ignorance is bliss I guess.
