Promising future means nothing to me. We've seen how Portland's promising future has potentially changed within a year. The same thing could happen to OKC, or maybe Portland catches a break and acquires some star or something in some way. Point is, it changes every year.

The future isn't guaranteed, so all it is is talk.

No shit. Portland wins 54 games last season with a very young team, finishes tied for the 2nd best record in the West, then follows it up with ~50 wins while losing 300+ games to player injury. What does this mean to the hysterical ninnies here? It means that the sky is falling!!

Bayless is killing us. Camby seems to be the only person who wants to win tonight and that understands that they need to step up with BRoy out.

I don't follow your logic. My logic states that OKC has been incredibly healthy this season. I'd like to see them handle some adversity before I annoint them the champs of the future.

I don't follow your logic. My logic states that OKC has been incredibly healthy this season. I'd like to see them handle some adversity before I annoint them the champs of the future.

I'm not predicting perfect health for that team, but they've already got an MVP level player who is only 21 (who also plays D and rebounds exceptionally well), Westbrook is a rising star at point guard and is also incredibly young, Green is solid as a flex 4, Ibaka has already shown some real chops on D as a shot blocker and rebounder, and they've got a real nice wing defender in Sefalosha. If they add a legit center or an elite big (like Bosh or somebody else) they're well on their way.

Yes Brandon Roy's normal statline would definitely be worse than Rudy's 0-3, 0-3, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and -14 +/- right now. I appreciate hustle, but we need some actual production from Rudy, Webster, Bayless, and Batum while Roy is out. Camby and Miller are stepping up, Aldridge is in foul trouble, we need those other guys to carry some of the load. I like that Webster is doing alright the last couple games though.

The same could be said for the Blazers, though. I guess I don't see the certainty that you posted. The same could have been said for New Orleans two years ago. Now, they're an afterthought due to Chris Paul's injury problems.

Jump on the Thunder bandwagon, though. Everybody else seems to be doing it.
