I like Merkley. I'd be interested in hearing what he has to say during his possible campaign.

I like him, but he's not "exciting" enough to break though on the big stage.

Merkley has the type of personality that would seem exciting to a cat.

So. He's a great man. I'd vote for him. He's the whole reason we're having this border discussion.

I could give a fuck less about his personality.

RUN this muthafucka. Well! And be boring as FUCK when you do it.

WTF are you doing at that gala???? Fix this goddamn infrastructure!

Merkley probably takes 10 minute showers and eats cheese sandwiches on his 30 minute lunches.

Why? Why do people give a fuck about this? Obama had the most charisma of any president and still got lambasted.

I want a MF who works. Hard.

The only answer to your question is, because most people (i.e. majority of voters) do care about this. I agree it's hardly the first quality that a president should have. I'd settle for working hard and being honest with the people.

Damn it would be funny watching Trump kick his ass on ever turn and debate.

The sad fact is that winning the debates seems to have no effect on the voting outcome. Gore is regarded as having won all three against W, and W won (if by a technicality.) Similarly, Hillary cleaned Trump's clock in the debates, and again he won (and again, if by a technicality.)

But I do agree, Trump would trump Merkeley in a debate. Hey, maybe that's good! Then we would win the electoral college, if not the popular vote! :)

There is always hope.

That shows that the debates are just like figure skating. There is no way on Earth that Hillary won all of the debates except in the minds of people who state opinions as facts.

Unfortunately the line that won one debate for Trump single handledly was a prediction and not a plan for change.

Hillary "you don't pay taxes"

Trump "you'd just waste them anyway"

Unfortunately he didn't mean that he wouldn't waste them. Pruitt for example

You stay classy.

Oh, this is rich. Dozens of threads that turn into Trump pile ons, to the point that it becomes trite and repetitive.

I have met Merkley, not a bad guy, although he realizes that half of the crap he blathers on about is bull shit party line, he still banks on the 50% that still can not get over the fact that Trump won. His main goal is to remain a politician, period, regardless of his true beliefs.

So I quote a line from a cheesy comedy, and I have no class? pffft

I believe his comment had more to do with the word retard than anything to do with the Trump admin. Retard is not considered an acceptable insult anymore.

I got joke and reference, but still cringed when I saw you use it. I know a lot of people will call this PC bullshit gone to far, but I think it's an ugly word. Would you feel comfortable using it around a developmently challenged person and their family?

So, it is okay for Hollywood to produce a comedy film and use the term, but I am to be chastised for quoting the line in well intended jest? Please, tell me who has ridden the PC pony a tad bit too far.

Yep. Difference is, making a comment about someone where you ridicule a choice theyve made (and are free to make or not make the choice) vs using a derogatory term for people with physical and intellectual disabilities, that get this...they had no choice in it and it's not like they can just stop having CP or stop being autistic.

So yeah, you using that term to make fun of someone shows your class.

Well, using that logic, i should be able to the N word willy nilly because of how many times they said it in Django Unchained.

Well.....that's the world we live in. Robert Downey Jr also wore black face in that movie. I wouldn't try it if I were you.

Plus it was specifically referring to Ben Stiller's character in the movie.

I know it seems too PC but disabled people deserve respect. If I'm being hypocritical here I accept that.

I really believe that you know better than to render such a cutsie pie straw man, but if you like, knock your self out. One could make that argument, although I would find it taste less.

What word do you use in this circumstance?

Stupid, dumb, idiotic, moronic, foolish...

Or if you're talking about the person themselves, you just use their name.

Or maybe you could just go "you know, I was wrong saying that word there" instead of playing the "Fuck that, I'm gonna say what im gonna say! Fuck being PC!"

you so tough.
