Merry Christmas: Denver @ Portland Thread

Santa was very good to you guys tonight!

Blake, player of the game. :D

I'll take 8/7 from Bayless every night.

Maybe just not on 10 shots haha

Bayless crappy shooting night, but the respect he has earned allowed him to make some great passes and great ball movement. He won't have shooting nights like that every night or see as many good shot blockers. Players of the game Roy and Blake pretty easily.

Nice team win.

Roy looked like an MVP tonight.

Bayless was a little out of control tonight, but didn't let the blocked shots bother him.

Blake was the dagger tonight and pretty much shut down Smith.

Miller played well.

Webs had some key buckets early.

Another solid game for Howard and LMA.

20-12

Amazing

Virtual tie for 4th place in the West. Only 1 game behind 3rd place Denver.

if bayless gets respect like this from everyone we will be hard to beat.

and if he doesnt, he will eat them alive.

win/win

I guess I was a good boy this year, since I got my Christmas present with this Blazer victory. 4th win in a row. Woohoo!

This is easily our most fun stretch of basketball since the 13 game win streak, right?

Honestly, Denver was stupid to defend Bayless like that. Wouldn't you rather have one unproven guy try to beat you instead of letting four semi-proven guys get a chance?

Great game to watch. Literally everyone played their roles well, too.

Anyone else notice just how much different the Nuggets are w/out Chauncy? I know he wasn't a huge factor tonight, but without him on the court Denver just doesn't flow right.

Any doubts of BRoy making the all star team have been washed away by his stellar December.

With this win, we now have the longest current win streak. That's quite a feat when you consider all our injuries.

We have what amounts to a starting five rehabbing and yet they continue to win. Great heart from these guys. The impressive thing is that it's not like Dallas, San Antonio, and Denver didn't show up; they seemed to play pretty well. I still don't know how long it'll last, but I'm basically blown away right now.

 Merry Christmas.

Game ball outside of B. Roy: Steve Blake. The guy came through, and looked like the Blake of last season. Props to him for coming through for 17 big ones!

Really liked seeing Bayless set his teammates up for easy shots. Looks like he's more of a PG then people give him credit for.

Roy absolutely carried the Blazers to a win tonight.

Juwan is playing out of his mind right now. That move he made in the fourth quarter on Nene I think on the up-and-under.. wow, the guy looks like he's 26 again. Guy is moving well! Maybe he doesn't have as much mileage on him since he rarely played the past few seasons. But playing center against a frontline of Nene/KMart/Birdman, and he held his own. I can't believe it.

Back from the Garden. It was rocking. What a game. What a player Roy is. Love this team.

Our center position (Howard/Pendergraph) went for 6 points and 13 rebounds. Not much to look at offensively tonight, being so undersized, but dang, that rebounding is respectable against Denver.

They did well. 6 and 13 may not look all that great, but they just didn't look too overmatched out there, especially Pendergraph. They tried intimidating him early on and knocked him around a few times, but he wouldn't have any of it. I loved it.

Nene and Birdman also only had 9 pts/4 rebs combined, which is pretty good.
