Will it happen? Only 28mins left.

He shouldn't sign it but we should offer it.

Same with Harkless. I don't know why anyone would sign an extension when players like Jeremy Lamb get 21 million in 3 years.

FWIW Ewings 6 year 33 million contract in 1991 made him the highest paid athlete in pro sports. Source

With the way he's played over 4 games might want to put any money in the bank he can now.

Does anyone have the numbers on a contract extension for Meyers? Is it 100% of current salary?

Do you think it is likely he plays this poorly for 82 games? I don't, and anything close to what he did last season in limited minutes is likely enough to garner interest from other teams. Meyers isn't going to fall out of the league if he has a terrible season this year. The skill set is there which will be enough for somebody to take a swing at him.

You maybe right, but I might also be fortunate that Nate didn't take my bet. He is having a miserable start this season.

Meyers Leonard and the Trail Blazers were unable to come to terms on a contract extension before Monday’s deadline, as both sides agreed to revisit his future this summer when he becomes a restricted free agent.

"I'm betting on myself,'' Leonard said after passing on the Blazers' offer.

Terms of the Blazers' offer are unknown, but a source with knowledge of the discussions said Leonard passed on a "considerable" offer.

Yes, Quick said it was a "considerable amount". Of course, who knows what that means, but I have a feeling this will backfire on Meyers. I honestly just don't think he's that good. If a team wants to give him a big contract, let him be their mistake. He's a mentally fragile 7 foot spot up jump shooter. We need some guys who are tough inside.

If he doesn't start hitting shots, Vonleh is a tougher rebounder, has a better handle and is a better passer.

Smart move by the kid, if he can get his game on point.

Two out of three; Meyers is a really good passer, and I've seen nothing to tell me Vonleh is better.

Rabble rabble rabble

Bets on how much more it was than this?

Terrance Ross is gonna make more than Patrick Ewing in half the time!

I've seen Meyers make passes Vonleh can make. I've seen Vonleh make passes off the dribble that Meyers can't or hasn't yet.

I admit I wasn't able to watch much of the pre-season, and I didn't get to watch tonight. But I'll keep an eye out for them.

This is good news, if Meyers doesn't improve at all this season they won't be stuck with that contract for years trying to trade him like OKC with Kanter.

Meyers is better out of the high post as of now but Vonleh is much better off the dribble although he doesn't do it often.

Anybody want to take bets on the odds Utah or OKC (after losing Durant) extend an offer to Beibs.
