Meyers Leonard Appreciation Thread

He, unfortuantely, did bounce it off his knee in the closing minute.
Lmao. That's what I just read in the other thread. You see, when he got the ball down low the second time, I headed to the kitchen. I couldn't stand to watch it again...

That bounce off of his knee in the Spurs game would have given Meyers an assist in my book! Maybe this play in the NOP game was supposed to be a repeat, but the play just needs more practice. Ha! Ha!

You mean, because when it bounced off his knee, the only thing it was going to was out of bounds.

It's not more practice, it's never having him do it again.

I would say let's take every game winning play that we can run to the playoffs. Focus on the wins and they will happen!

He's clueless on defense, maybe sometimes on offense but he tries hard, he's a hard worker, last season pre-injury when he had more confidence he was actualy kind of an enforcer for us. He's a very good 3 point shooter for a big and is athletic for his size as well. He needs more work on harnessing his skills, maybe to be used diffrently (I think he's ideally a 4) and to develop better understanding and feel for the game, especially on D, but while he could be frustrating to watch at times I think he's a positive for the team and being someone people like to make fun of doesn't mean he's really that bad because he isn't.

Did you type that with a straight face ?

I think it's all true, the good and the bad.
I think Meyers, if he plays the way he did before the injury could actually be a positive contributor for us. I understand he hasn't been great this season and people turned him into kind of a laughing stock but I think in the right system, under the right guidance, he could flourish. I hope it doesn't happen after we trade him and watch him succeed elsewhere

Without Meyers we wouldn't have all these great swish3 threads...Meyers brought us swish3!

I appreciate meyers.
I appreciate meyers’ willingness to ride the pine and let the nba players play on the court.
I appreciate that alot.

Id appreciate him even more if he bought a jersey off of me.

Honestly, I appreciate that he is there cheering for his teammates and not becoming a distraction despite his lack of playing time.

He is not responsible for the the fact the team signed him to a contract he probably does not come close to fulfill. There are no stories of him not working hard or being a negative influence.

I do not expect him to be a positive producer, not I can not get upset with him for his inability to be a better player
