How is a giant bad contract holding a team back that just needs one more piece to be a contender?

Hmm.
Oh yeah, I'm sure we're missing out on a star free agent that surely would've signed here if we could've gotten rid of Meyers' $10M a year contract while we were $20M over the salary cap.

Makes perfect sense.

You better read up a little bit about the way the cap works. Using Meyers to get a better player in trade would be good yes. But blaming the 10 million on playoff success is kind of silly. Now if you would have said Turner you might have gotten a different response but not by a bunch really.

For the season, Meyers and Skal are tied for the best ORtg at 129. The Blazer bench has a lot of scoring power to improve our chances for winning the Championship.

Hey, don't be lazy. If you know the answer, what's the harm in letting him and apparently a lot of others know what the heck it means?
You know, whenever you have a lot of people holding an opinion, in this case a question, that should be a clue that maybe just maybe, it might be helpful to let people know what the hell is going on.

If you know what it is why won't you tell me?

Pretty simple, we can trade other big salary contracts like Turner and Harkless to make room for a better fit, we can’t trade Meyers because he sucks and doesn’t fit anywhere except the D-league.

This is pretty basic stuff.

Lol turner is waaaaaaaaaaaay better than Meyers. Certain teams would at least consider taking on his contract in return for a short-term talent boost - there is no use for Meyers anywhere in the league, he’s a net-negative player that literally no one wants.

Your opinion is noted.
When Turner plays well i agree. When Turner does not play well he is very bad and cannot be moved either. Thus far Turner has not shown he is worth much at all but he does seem to work well with certain players.

If either one was tradeable then they wouldn't still be on the team.

Meyers contract prevents there from being a purpose of trading turner bc were way over the cap
Incorrect Sir Nurkalicious.

Trading Turner could've gotten us out of the Luxury Tax this year. It would have also opened up the Full-Mid Level Exception instead of the Tax one. If anyone wanted him he wouldn't still be on the team.
