The Blazers are on the way to winning the 2020 NBA Championship and Meyers will lead us. Based on Meyers Blazer leading scoring in the Playoffs, documented in the Thread, Leading Blazer Playoff Scorer, his outstanding WCF Game 4 play, being the only Blazer to score 5 consecutive swish3s against GSW in the Playoffs, his NBA Playoff 10 of 13 swish3 record, improved screens, improved defense, improved rebounding, and excellent passing, Meyers has made great strides and will improve even more next year. Until Nurk returns sometime (probably by March) in 2020, Meyers has progressed to starting Center status.
Blazer coaches belatedly made the progression in Games 3 and 4 of the WCF that allowed the step forward, and showed that the Blazers can beat GSW and TOR in the Playoffs by winning Game 4 first half. If we had started Meyers in Game 1 of the WCF, we could have won the WCF! Many times during the season, I have called for Meyers to shoot at least 6 swish3 attempts per half, and WCF Game 4 is the only game all season in which we saw it. And he scored 5 of the 6 for an outstanding 83.3%! If Blazer coaches had continued with passes and plays to continue with 6 swish3 attempts in the 2nd half, we could have won.
Meyers only started 4 games in the past year, games 52, 82, and WCF Games 3 and 4, and he played remarkably well in all of them. Game 52 was our 132-105 win over UTA Jazz that had twice embarrassed us in December. But Meyers embarrassed NBA defensive MVP Rudy Gobert in this game making 4 of 5 of his swish3s and 6 of 7 FGA. Some threads have suggested that we should add Kevin Love at the expense of Meyers, but I think that Meyers is by far the superior player.
Meyers has shown the best scoring efficiency of any Blazer. Meyers led Blazer scoring (30 pts) in WCF Game 4. Meyers scored 85 points on 34 FGA in the Playoffs (an exceptional 2.5 pts/FGA)! No one else has done this!
The mistake that the Blazer coaches made in not playing Meyers in more games and not featuring his exceptional swish3 shooting talent has ended now that the Blazers have shown the potential to beat GSW on the way to the NBA Championship. We have made major progress, have added new talent, and have tested and proved the kind of team synergy and steady progress that will win our 2020 NBA Championship.

Not sure if Stotts will play Meyers when we get Alfred Reynoso tho.
