Holy shit, did anyone just see the end of that game?!? Wow!

In a nutshell... lol

Apparently the guy who returned it for the TD is in the hospital with either a broken or dislocated hip from his teammates piling up on him. At the end of the video you can see him trying to get his teammate to stop shaking him.

Oh man, that sucks.

Punter totally blew it, shoulda just fell on the ball.

Poor Jim has lost a lot of close heartbreakers like that.

To me, that punt formation looks odd. It looks like the kicker is much further back that is typical, which could be why the snapper left the ball so short. It wasn't the kickers fault. Maybe Jim was trying to be super conservative. but if you're afraid of a block or a return, why not just line up in max protect, wear out seconds in the pocket, then heave it up into the air. Michigan St would then only have 1 hail mary opporutnity.

Just read that the standard distance between punter and snapper is 14 or 15 yards, but the punter is at the 37 and the ball is at the 53. That is 16 yards, and the ball came up about a yard short. So I wonder if the punter was standing in the wrong spot?
