LOL, you're right. Trump is an idiot and Obama was probably a genius.

My only regret with Obama was that he didn't have good people skills. He needed to meet and greet with Ropublican lawmakers more often and he needed to know how to do more back slapping much like LBJ.

You gotta be kidding me. That's all he did. He always came to the table and that was followed by Republican obstruction. Even then he capitulated way too much.

Wow! This is no long the the OT section with sane moderator. It's the Lost it gang, and the Pipe Piper, happily going down in a Coriolis swirl.

The pied piper?

Problem was the republicans wouldn't come to the table

And this is how that played out:

A presidential pardon of Richard Nixon (Proclamation 4311 ) was issued on September 8, 1974, by President Gerald Ford, which granted his predecessor Richard Nixon a full and unconditional pardon for any crimes he might have committed against the United States while president.
Huh? I was talking about how a Vice President gets into office not how Nixon's legal woes got solved. The connection escapes me.

Lanny Davis, a spokesman and attorney for Cohen, said in an interview this weekend that he is no longer certain about claims he made to reporters on background and on the record in recent weeks about what Cohen knows about Trump's awareness of the Russian efforts.

Davis did not rule out that his claims were correct but expressed regret that he did not explain that he could not independently corroborate them, saying that he now believes he "should have been more clear."

Neither Cohen nor his lead defense attorney, Guy Petrillo, responded to requests for comment.

Whether Davis knew it or not a logical conclusion is Trump knew of the meeting. Only a fool would conclude Trump didn't know of the meeting with him being at Trump towers a floor above at the same time.

Not to mention that Davis said he could not personally corroborate what he originally claimed, he did not rule out that Cohen might be able to.
...and like you said, I would be VERY surprised if there's anything that went on in Trump Tower that Trump didn't know about.

...I did read the article, and I did "evaluate it as a whole", thank you...which is why I posted it...and yes, Davis admitted he spoke out of turn. And as the quoted stated Guy Petrillo is Cohen's "lead attorney", not Lanny Davis...Davis was not in position to make the statement he made.

Do you know for a fact Trump didn't know about the meeting? Does Trump lie? Why was he even there? Councidence?

My point is that the lawyer who was a former clinton fixer, spent last week doing interviews and making statements that were not true, and is now backtracking. Do a little reading on this guy, not the kind of person that we would have to the house for dinner.

Damn, aside from the "clinton fixer" part, this is exactly how I think of trump!

And? Trump actually lies all the time and it doesn't seem to bother you. At least Cohen's lwayer admitted he spoke too soon, but i will be the truth will come out and it will show he knew about the meeting. Way to coincidental and Trumps sons likely don't do anything without daddy knowing it. Use your noggin for once.

I also noticed you conveniently avoided my questions.

Yeah, well I avioded your question because I was trying to stay on topic and not get into some straw man argument about Trump
