They cant "go KIA". Its not a sponsor. Also that's not the real car.
I know Kia is not on any chartered teams and will not be the car. It was a joke. Though it seems to be the NBA way.
Up until now Bubba Wallace has been driving Chevy. You would expect nothing else from a Richard Petty Motorsports.
If Jordan honestly wants to make something like this work he would be best to hitch his wagon to Petty and stay Chevrolet at least for the time being. If they honestly decide to go this alone they better stay American made cars.
No don't even go there with this Toyota is made in America crap. Absolutely NOTHING about Toyota is American. Like i said already you don't want to get me started. This is not just an opinion with me. I can blind you with facts and figures of what Japanese car makers have done to this country. Not to mention the gullible people who continue to this day to buy cars made by foreign car makers.

No, it makes absolutely no sense for Jordan to hitch his team to Chevy and RPM.

1. He's going into business with Denny Hamlin, a Toyota Racing driver.
2. He'll be affiliated with JGR, giving him the ability to build A-grade equipment. RPM builds C-grade equipment at best.

Part of the reason Wallace is leaving RPM is to get into better equipment. Jordan's team affiliating with RPM makes 0 sense, especially with Hamlin having an ownership stake.

Bubba Wallace as the primary driver?

Apparently wants to be the Charlotte Hornets of NASCAR, too.
Bubba has been stuck at RPM. Put him in top-notch equipment and he's likely a playoff driver contending for wins here and there

You didn't read that link did you? This is being pushed by Nascar to create some new sponsorship revenue. It has absolutely nothing to do with the car he was driving and even with more money. They are calling him a profitable sponsor source and one that could have brought plenty of money to RPM but in the end he is a driver who is 23rd in points standing and really has not shown he could actually carry a team. So single car it is. Yes it will be Toyota. Like i said. Another Idiot move.

How long has RPM been around and how successful have they been? If all they needed was more money to field a top team, someone would have already partnered with them.

I did not think Tony Stewart's ownership team would work and look at it now. Not seeing this "Tiger Woods" effect on NASCAR though. Tiger was special and dominated golf. There is no aspect this new team will have a significant advantage with. Might win a few races and qualify for the playoffs. Do not see it being a true contender.

Exactly!
Bubba Wallace is a great story but he isn't a great driver. On top of that the team looks to be choosing Toyota instead of Chevy. Which I personally feel is a mistake.

Despite Toyota only having six cars in NASCAR, three of those made the playoffs. I do not think choosing Toyota over Chevy is going to be the problem.

Well like i said. It is a problem with me. Buy American! Quit promoting Foreign Car Manufacturers. And by all means QUIT BUYING THEIR CARS!

Toyota Camrys are built in America with 70% American manufactured parts.

I'm gonna let the dog just keep on barking. If you honestly want to have this conversation bark twice. If not roll over.
I will leave this tasty doggy treat for you to eat up.

Please note #34 on the list with it's total domestic content of 56.5 rating ZERO profit rating and Zero RD rating and it's 45% US material rating.
Then please scroll on down to the very last page entries 351-372 and notice the list of Toyota manufactured cars.
After that please don't tell me one of my favorite dogs actually sheds all over the seat of a Toyota.....

RPM is C-Grade equipment. JGR is A-grade. Just how it is. Ask anyone who really pays attention. RPM hasn't won a race this decade. JGR has won upwards of 100 (dont know the exact amount).

You obviously dont pay attention.

- Equipment means everything. Petty equipment sucks. On short tracks and superspeedway, where equipment differences are lessened, Bubba performs far better than on mile-nad-a-halves where equipment differences are exacerbated.
- I wouldnt be surprised if it would've been a breach of contract for Denny Hamlin to have ownership stake in a racing team that runs a different, competing manufacturing than the one Hamlin is signed to drive for.
- The Toyota alliance has more to do with receiving JGR-backing than anything else (which is top notch and has resulted in a single-car, JGR-backed championship). RPM doesnt have the resources to be able to back another team, they can barely keep theres in the top-25.

Dude?
Manufacturer Total Wins
Cup Wins
NSX Wins
Truck WinS

Chevrolet 69 39 21 9
Ford 22 16 4 2
Toyota 18 3 4 11
Buick 5 2 3
Dodge 5 2 0 3
Pontiac 5 1 4
Hudson 3 3
Oldsmobile 3 1 2
Plymouth 1 1

Not sure where you get your info?
Nothing about Chevy is C-Grade equipment. Even more so what on earth would make you thing Richard Petty would allow "C" grade equipment in his cars.
Now the one thing i will give you Toyota has won 3 of the last 4 with Ford winning one. However Chevy won 13 straight from 2003-2015.
Toyota got a hold of Jimmie Johnson, Martin Truex and Kyle Busch. They might win a couple more. The difference in equipment is so very slight. It's the team and the driver that wins a cup.
By the way Jimmie Johnson went to Chevy and is now with Hendrick Motorsports
Truex and Busch are still with Gibbs but the stable is too full. You can only hold onto that many drivers for a year or two and now you have Hamlin moving.

By the way watch out for keep an eye on Christopher Bell (Toyota) and Quinn Houff (Chevy) those two are my picks for the next 5-10 years.

Equipment means everything.
I disagree here but i do understand the point. Obviously you must have great equipment. But for all the years i have watched it comes down to the team and the driver. You can have the best equipment and if your driver and team are out of sorts it falls apart very quickly.
Just my take on this.

Both teams turned left!
Hey now Bones and I are having the best conversation we have had in years now. Don't mess this up dammit!
Both of us have been trying real hard and it's fucking working on everything we post! Basketball and now even Nascar. We are agreeing to disagree and making valid points.

I'm so stoked!
