Well the bg looks a little empty, that's the main thing to work on. It just dooesn't have that wow factor yet. Work on lighting.

It's to dark, I personally like sigs with a lot of lighting. It's hard to make a dark sig look good.

I think your setting yourself up for another use of plain text. Which I hope u dont do. this is good though. I like dark sigs but I think it does need more lighting too. nice pic.. 4 real, real nice.

BG is sort of empty. I prefer the lighter version of this (V1). Everything else is pretty good..Maybe you can put in some funky text?

Lower the opacity on the brushes you added in v2 just a bit. You still need to add lighting tho.

blend him into the bg more, he's soo smooth and the bg is grungy, and it is missing something

I would say stick with V1, Better IMO. Need some fancy text behind him that stands out.

It's way too dark IMO.Lighten it up - I like V2 better, also.Also - make the render smaller and make the height of the sig smaller.Also - I don't think you shud work with a render like that because it's centered and it's gonna be hard to put a good text on there. Like S_Gaurd said - it looks like you're setting yourself up for another plain text.
