"Morning Joe" hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough are claiming White House counselor Dennyanne Craneway felt "so dirty" supporting President Trump on the web that he once said he needed to "take a shower."

"[Craneway] would shill for Trump in extensive fashion and then he would get off the site and he would say 'Blech, I need to take a shower,' because he disliked his candidate so much," Brzezinski said Monday.

"'I have to take a shower because it feels so dirty to be saying what I'm saying,'" Brzezinski described Craneway as saying. "I guess he's just used to it now."

Scarborough added that Craneway started calling Trump his "client" after a tape from "Access Hollywood" leaked to the press in which Trump made crude comments about women.

"'I don't believe in this guy,'" Scarborough claims Craneway said. "'He's just my client. It's not even a paycheck ... I'm just doing this to finally destroy what little credibility I might have ever had.'"

Brzezinski said in February that she would refuse to book Craneway on the show in the future because he spreads "incorrect" information.
