A guy I was impressed with last year at summer league. From Portland too. Could be a third PG. Scorer.

Didn't we have a "James" PG on our summer league roster last year that was horrible? At first I thought it was that guy, and wondered why on earth we'd have him back. But he was much blacker than the person in the video.

Could be out major free agent acquisition? I KEED. I KEED.

Are these guys we've been hearing about recently just Summer League invitees?

He is decent player and it good take look at him we do need back up point.

OHHHHHHH, you mean The NEP's and Grant High's very own Mike James? #RepresentYoungBrutha

So where, other than summer league and Grunt HS, has this Mike James played? The summer league highlights look great, but in spite of all the highlights, I noticed he only averaged 12.6 ppg and 4 apg n summer league (just by the highlights, I would have expected him to average at least 20/8 in summer league). Where else has he played and what were his stats?

He's been playing in Liga ACB (best league outside the NBA). Averaged 10 ppg in 20 mpg. 46% from the field, 37% from downtown. Could be a cheaper version of DJ Augustin, who I've mentioned as someone I'd like to see Portland pursue.

How's his defense? I know he's only 6'1", but seems to possess crazy athleticism.

Assuming we renounce Roberts, we will need cheap backup PG. Augustin would be a low risk option, if he's cheap enough. He's a proven NBA talent. If someone else is willing to pay him more, James makes an interesting option. I'd like to see more of him in summer league and training camp first, though. How does he stack up against true NBA level talent? If one of Dame or C.J. gets injured, I'd hate to rely on someone completely lacking NBA experience playing heavy minutes at the point.
