Mike Rice hints at Blazers draft and free agency plans

My bad on the title. I meant like how people use woj bomb when he drops an official trade or signing, big news, etc. it's like mike rices version. I love rice. Always wished he was my grandpa or something. I wish I knew whatever he knows about who we are going after in free agency. July 1st can't come quick enough

You didn't make any mistake. The word bomb just means different things to different generations. Me, I think of Lyndon Johnson and the Vietnam War. (It's ironic that you used the word bad in its new definition to explain your use of the word bomb in its new definition.)

The Blazers would be stupid not to keep Rice in an ambassador role. It would be cheap, he's entertaining and it's better to have him pissing inside the tent out than the other way around.

See? Maxiep thought of Lyndon Johnson, too.

If Whiteside is the bigger plan and nothing else minor tweaks then ehh... Whatever.

I would like to visit the world you live in.

I didn't hate Mike Rice. Not at all. I can almost say I grew liking quite a lot. But I fear the bitterness of the end with the Blazers may cause him some trouble. And once again the "i-know-a-lot-but-have-nobody-to-tell-it" is so lame. Did he broke any signle news during his tenure?

I think you are misreading his tweet. He's not saying 'I know what the blazers will do'. He's saying "i hear lots of rumors and it used to be my job to discuss them and I miss that".

The "i-know-everything-but-cant-say-to-anybody" is a bit lame. How often did he broke news when he was in charge for two decades? Zero. Nada!
You DO realize team employees sign a confidentiality agreement to NOT 'break' news/pictures/inside info. You knew that right...before you signed up here and dropped this post that is the equivalence of verbal diarrhea.....
You wouldn't have the balls to come in here and toss around shit opinions that don't hold any weight right?
Go back, read the forum rules, then tread lightly......FAMS

You have the right not to agree with me. Definitely. And I won't blame you to do so. But you could also discuss it calmly couldn't you? I totally understand those agreements. But my opinion - and I don't blame you not to share it - is that those tweets aren't that clever. BUT as barfo righfully explain me, I may have misunderstood the idea behind the tweets. Maybe, yes. Is it enough to talk about "shit opinions" and "verbal diarrhea"? I don't think so.

This is one area that this forum could improve tremendously. I was out last night after work and before the draft and had a talk with some ultra liberal woman who was pro Hillary. We had a great discussion about the whys and why nots. Neither of us tried to convince the other was wrong, we just said why we thought the way we did and moved on. It was enlightening.

Here it's a constant my way or the highway mentality. It's too bad really because there are a lot of differing opinions on things here and it would be fun to have a normal conversation.

its the internet, we are all angry with one another for no real reason other than we are typing instead of speaking

Couldn't agree more. If it was the 20th time i trolled about the same subject I could understand the rude words. But not in this case.

Unfortunately between my day job, my massive garden (right now all the fruit is ripening and has to be preserved), daily workouts, Pride, and Clinton campaign volunteering my time is pretty limited, Eastoff. Maybe in Winter, when garden is put to bed, elections over...

Just wanted to point out that Mike Rice's tweets seem to be dead on.
All his tweets were about free agency not the draft. So of course he is right now (because you can't be wrong on anything that hasn't happened yet).

Not saying he won't be mostly right but also not sure what you are meaning on how they can be dead on?

Maybe I'm reading between the lines too much, but he really seemed to be saying not much will happen during the draft - and it didn't. It'll be about FA, which is why that is what he was talking about.

Cool but if I tweeted (I don't) that is what I would have said too and I don't think I am near the only one. I mean we didn't even have a pick. So we did probably more then most could have expected actually.
