<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Darius Miles and Zach Randolph have both been suspended by the Blazers and now they both have gone public with their wish to be traded out of Portland.

"It's got a lot to do with the front office," Randolph said. "A lot to do with (general manager) John Nash, (team president) Steve Patterson, you know, they put this team together."

"(Management) thought (Maurice) Cheeks wasn't a hard coach, or didn't demand nothing, so I guess that's what the people in the front office told (McMillan)," Randolph said. "So he came in with the attitude where, I don't know, he thought he's got to be hard. Like Sarge. So it's been tough, because I ain't never had . . . I always had coach Cheeks, who is more of a players coach, and I was accustomed to his actions and ways. Now it's just a lot different."

McMillan, meanwhile, was unfazed by Miles' and Randolph's statements.

"I think they have to be honest, honest with themselves, and honest with the organization about how they feel," McMillan said. "To feel that way and keep it inside doesn't help anyone. I think they have to be honest about how they feel, their role, the direction of the club, so that we can get a feel for how we can help them."</div> Finally i never thought it would happen.

They can't even put any effort in their trade demands. That was the crappiest request I've ever heard.

I'm sure the feeling is mutual.

Where would they trade Miles? Juvenile Hall? 'Cuz he just acts like a little punk.

I know this sounds stupid but why do I feel that the Nets might consider trying to get one of them. Just a feeling...but Im probably wrong.

I'd be happy to see them go. They are the last two Jailblazer types. Now if Porter bought the team, fired Nash and Patterson, brought in some name appeal, and kicked Randolph and Miles to the curb all would be well.

This is usually around the time where Isiah makes a cameo.

^haha umm i think if they deciede to trade em randolph shouldnt be that hard cause he is a very good and young player its just his attitude

I hope these two guys are gone this summer, I hope. Khryapa looks like a nice player and Travis Outlaw will be a Darius Miles type of player but with a work ethic and more hops. I just want to see Outlaw get an actual chance to play, Trading away these two guys from some expiring contracts would only benefit the Blazers. Ex. Grant Hill + Battie for Zach Randolph + Darius Miles.

magic would love that deal talent wise but i'm not sure if they want players of that type (read: they both have poor attitudes/work ethic) around their youth movement.

trade idea (phili is short on making it work money wise..would need to throw something in or a trade exception)

And they'd want cash picks, possibly Minny's pick (top 10 protected)

^ huge mega blockbuster trade i know..

chances of it happening...slim to none but hey, it took me 3 minutes to think up.

AHAHHAAHAHAHA Thats really funny, and funnier because it's true.

As for you- 02Civic (I'm not going to quote that whole scenario of yours) It's pretty freaking impressive if those contracts actually work, I'm too tired to think about if they do, what's even more impressive is it only took you three minutes.

At that rate you could probably have the New York Knicks fixed as the halftime show for the next playoff game.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting VinsanityVC15:</div><div class="quote_post">philadelphia really gets robbed in this trade though.</div>

they do and they dont. obviously they dont get any talent back, but what the do get back is a significantly improved cap situation. Hunter and Korver were both dissapointing this year and are costing them an arm and a leg!

But i agree...Phili would probably need a 1st rounder included to really think hard about it.

thanks man. I decided to see if anything could be worked out with the 4 teams looking for the most change in the offseason and after a few clicks this was the result of my mad scheming.
the contracts almost work, there's some issues like Garnett's trade kicker that would have to be worked out, but real GM's and their people could make this work +/- a few throw in no-name players to make it work.

i think that the guy that really needs to be traded is Miles. (excuse the screen name) He is a good player..... when he tries. The problem is, he hasent/dosent try.

wow. i havent posted in a long time

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting D-Miles:</div><div class="quote_post">i think that the guy that really needs to be traded is Miles. (excuse the screen name) He is a good player..... when he tries. The problem is, he hasent/dosent try.

I'm trying to figure out why in the world you'd have him listed as one of your favorite players. He's lazy, he has a bad attitude, and he doesn't care about winning. Plus, he does that stupid gesture everytime he scores. I can't think of a more unlikeable player in the entire league.

I live in Portland. Miles isnt such a great player. Randolph probably does most of the scoring. Although Blazers might not be my favorite team, I do think that both of them had to speak up and say something. I would ask to be traded if I was on the worst team in the NBA. Wouldn't you?

But doing so shows great disrespect to the franchise that paid you. It just shows how ungrateful those two are.

How would you Blazer fans feel about this scenario, which I'm not even sure would work with all the rules (BYC, resigning a player, etc.) but

Zach and a resigned Pryzbilla (who wants out if I'm not mistaken)

for

Troy Murphy, Adonal Foyle, and a guy like Mickael Pietrus or Zarko Cabarkaba

you get rid of a huge, pretty bad contract, and get something for a player who could bolt this summer for nothing and you get a legit double-double guy who can shoot the lights out, a servicable center who can block some shots, and a young foreigner to go along with the development of all the blazers young guys? Plus with the Warriors guys, you have no worries about the Jail Blazer syndrome.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Chutney:</div><div class="quote_post">This is usually around the time where Isiah makes a cameo.</div>

Myself as a huge Isaiah "fan", I'm sure that if someone suggested it to him he would be quick to pull the trigger... he's always a fan of picking up troubled players with potential, especially those whose own teams don't want them (which in most cases would be a warning sign, but not with him). Look out, NYC!

After reading what Zach said. I am kinda baffled.

He has the talent and I've always loved him. I thought when he won the MIP, things were changing. But obviously he has problems with Nate.

I think bringing in Nate was a hugemove. It's gonna seperate the players from the whiners. Patterson was a whiner and hes now a nugget. Miles is a whiner and it looks like Zach's a whiner. So it's my opinion they are gonna be moved.

I'd had to see it, because Zach's a heck of a talent, but if they think Nate is "too hard" or ....I am used to Cheeks as Zach said, they have to go.

You guys can rid of you self of Darius Miles cuz of his talent but sub par attitude you will not get rid of randolph because fat power forwards who don;t play defence and a cancer are not a hot commdity

LOL I think they should make Miles stay there because of his attitude...but Randolph deserves better

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Chutney:</div><div class="quote_post">This is usually around the time where Isiah makes a cameo.</div>

LOL. Too bad Randolph and D-Miles aren't guards or Isiah would be all over that deal in a heartbeat.
