Miles Playing Like Crap

Keep in mind that Miles has to serve his ten GAME (not ten day) suspension on the active roster, THEN play in ten games. Can't do that with ten day contracts, at least not with one team. Boston would have to waive someone to sign him, as would a lot of other teams in the NBA. Maybe the thing to do is look at which teams have (or are expected to have) open roster spots, then rank the teams on that list according to severity of the Pritchslapping they received?

Without making the list . . . Miami? They took a chance Livingston, maybe they take chance on get rich quick with Miles.

If Boston doesn't sign Miles, I agree with you and Nik, miles getting 20 games under his belt through 10 day contracts doesn't seem as plausible as a team signing him for the vet's minumum.

Maybe if a team makes a 3-1 trade they look to add Miles for the remainder of the season to see what he's got. Will Miles continue to work out and keep in game shape in case he gets the call . . . I'm banking on the idea that he doesn't.

I used to be stressed about losing our cap space, but after hearing from a few people within or close to the organization, I'm of the mind we'd win any appeal we put in front of the NBA.

He's still playing like crap, and just got recently waived by the Charlotte Bobcats!
The Bobcats signed Miles to a non-guaranteed contract last month after he spent the summer working out with the team. The 29-year-old Miles has played sparingly since microfracture knee surgery in 2006 and has also had legal problems.

Miles averaged 3.6 points and 2.6 rebounds in seven exhibition games with Charlotte.
This guy should just plain retire. Hes garbage.

It'll be funny if the NBA sides with Minnesota re: Webster, after they didn't side with Portland re: Miles.

Good for Miles for still trying. He could have just taken the money and eaten ice cream...

Exactly. I always like to remind myself that he basically saved us from Hedo Turkoglu. Good on him

You might be right, but the amount of a roster camp invite can't be very much.

Well, I'm sure Darius could always make millions as a brain surgeon, or perhaps he could discover the cure for cancer.

He has one way to make money. Play basketball. Will he go overseas for a few million, only to have his knees replaced by the time he is 50? I'm saying yes.
