Miles, Ratliff, Patterson to Knick Rumors

According to those in the know, the Knicks? twoheaded serpent wants one and all. Then again, how bad can the craving be if young players and the expiring contracts (as a package) of Penny Hardaway and Antonio Davis are out of bounds? Such a position tends to deflate options.

For instance, Thomas has made it clear he will not do Channing Frye and Penny for Patterson and Miles.

Moreover, he will not do Penny and Davis for Miles, Ratliff and Patterson.

Not that Portland is prepared

to make that deal. Nate McMillan likes Miles; the coach appointed him co-captain along with Joel Przybilla. Still, the Blazers are going nowhere worthwhile this season and the Penny-Davis proposition was thrown out there in, ?Would you consider swapping . . . ? type of talk.</div>

Theo would be a good asset but he wont play long. He's a better Antonio Davis. We also need a good backup Center now that JJ has been a huge mistake by Isiah. JJ barely plays because he's always in foul trouble. 20 mpg with a good center like Theo would really benefit the knicks. Darius is alright but why do we need another SF. Barnes, Ariza, and Q are playing good at that position. The knicks dont need another logjam at SF. Ruben Patterson is not a good player. Not better then Fyre at PF. He would be a good utility player. That saying I'm praying that Isiah doesnt trade our young players. All knicks fans have all grown to love Nate, Frye, Lee, and Ariza. They're the core of the knicks future. Making this trade would hurt the chemistry more. Trade for Theo without using our rookies.

Isaiah wont pull Penny and AD for Miles, Ratliff AND Patterson?

He gets a scoring win and two noted defenders...and this also means Crawford would become expendable, and could be traded for a legit PG if Marbury doesnt end up fitting there...

The Knicks really need a star who can score and lead them night in night out. They need to be 100% consistent. Then the Knicks can build their dynasty around them. I'm afraid to say, that none of these guys linked with NY could be that player.

Umm, there's Starbury. I think his nicknames states it all. LB is using Marbury wrong. Marbury needs to take more shots and penetrate. The knicks do have a star and a good team. LB still has to experiments and find the pros and cons of the team.

I don't know why Portland would trade Miles. I dont like the guy but I want to see how him, Zach, and telfair develop. If they are kept together i think they could be a very big three in a few years.

As for the Knicks...I can't beleive Thomas even has a job.

Signing JJ to a 30 mil contract because he played good for half the playoffs is insane.

The only good move Isiah has made since he got the job is trading for Nate Robinson.

He drafted Frye and Lee, he got LB to coach NYK, he traded for Marbury, he traded for Q, he traded for Crawford, and he got Eddy Curry. Those are good moves although he has made alot of bad ones too

Now I hope Zeke doesn't do anything stupid like dumping the young cats either. I would just hate to see another ex-Knick lightin up the court for another team. Just find a way to dump JJ and I'll be a fan forever...guy is straight garbage.

I am very curious about why they think that Miles (who would most likely start on the Knicks) would be a good fit with Marbury. I just to see that working out too well.

I think in order for them to be effective, they need to start trading for draft picks. They have too many players at the same position, and need to get rid of them. I think Mo Taylor can be a good player, but he's just a scrub on the Knicks. Isiah needs to focus on the little things instead of trying to land another BIG TIME player. That mindset of "We're only one player away" is hurting the franchise.
