This from Marc Stein over at ESPN

Andre Miller has zero starts in his first five games as a Blazer and is averaging just 25 minutes, only adding to the suspicion held by several rival executives that the Blazers signed Miller purely to make sure they acquired a tradable asset with their salary-cap space after failed free-agent bids for Hedo Turkoglu and Paul Millsap.

If that's the case, who would be interested in Miller and what could we get from him?

Of course, this is just speculation from other GM's.

He has value that is for sure, but i don't think that was the plan.

If that's the plan it's not a very good one. Besides, we all know KP won't make a trade mid season. I see no chance of it unless the team is still not in the playoff picture come near the trade deadline.

this always is a conspiracy for nba fans and media. It's laughable. How many times have teams signed a player only to trade him? And wouldn't not playing him or showcasing him (which is another thing that rarely happens) be more wise than having him put up pretty so-so stats?
