Pretty interesting stuff. His comment about running I found particularly intriguing.

Part 1 of 2
On whether he understands the logic of the decision:
I'm not going to get caught up in the logic of anything. I think it pretty much comes back to how well the team played last year. Them not wanting to make any changes, as far as who's going to be in the lineup — point guards and centers and stuff. You pretty much have your two go-to guys, and everybody else is pretty much up in the air. But they won 54 games, or whoever many games they won last year, so, if I was a coach, I probably would not want to change that either.
On whether his role is based off Brandon Roy needing to handle the ball to succeed:
I'm not a ball in hand. The same type of style they play here, I played in (Philadelphia). We was more — we wanted to get the ball out in transition. Where as (here), it's kind of more of a controlled tempo; play late in the shot clock. There was really no difference in Philadelphia, but we wanted to get the ball up the court. We can do that here, but that's not the style that they want to play. I played this type of style in college for four years. So, I think I can adjust to any style — it's just going to take a little bit and everything will be all right.
Part 2 of 2
On people's knee-jerk reaction to him coming off the bench:
I think I'll handle it fine. I haven't made a big fuss about it. It hasn't affected how I practice. It's just different. I didn't think it would happen at this point in my career, knowing that I think I'm still peaking. But that's a part of the business. I'm not making a big deal out of it.
On whether it makes it rough because he's had a pretty good preseason:
Actually, I don't think I have. ... Nah, I don't think so. I haven't even touched a part of my game where I'll get at once the season starts going. I haven't even — for me, team-wise, I don't think we've even played to the potential. We had a couple guys hurt. And if you want to get to that second or third round, and you look at our preseason, it really wasn't a good overall preseason, individually and team-wise for everybody. That's just me being critical; other people might feel differently. Individual-wise, I don't think I — you can say it was decent, but it wasn't to the level that I thought it was for me.
