I quit my job and I'm joining the Catholic Relief Services (CRS).

I was promoted to section manager at my job in January. 3 successful software releases and more 100+ hour weeks than I care to count later I'm burned out. A guy at church turned me on to CRS and I think this is the way for me to take my life and family.

I'll be moving to Kyrgyzstan next week. I'll be supporting the computer infrastructure in central Asia and doing some computer literacry outreach programs.

I haven't posted much lately but I've been on here after most games and I hope to be back online when I get to Bishkek. (Hopefully I'll read about some huge off season aquisition then!)

Go Blazers!

Good luck to you. Be safe.

Wow, that will be an amazing adventure! Please stay in touch. Post pictures. Tell us all about it. And yes, stay safe.

I'd say you are fucking stupid but it actually sounds amazing. Don't be a drone, live life to its fullest.

GOOD LUCK MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought this was going to be about a thread about Sex, oh how wrong I was.

In all seriousness sounds like an amazing adventure you and your family are about to partake on and I wish you and your family all the best :)

Congratulations! I don't know you but I sincerely hope you the best in your future endeavors as you live your life learning how to come up with less suggestive forum titles!

Edit: repping Rhal for great minds.

In some archdioceses it's called Catholic Community Services, in others, Catholic Family & Childrens Services. It's where I got my start in accounting. You learn a lot for low pay.

So the U.S. now uses religious outfits to change infrastructure in former Communist countries. Europe has always used missionaries as the left hand and soldiers as the right hand.

You should PM UkraineFan, whose job is kind of a missionary, too.

Good Luck with this. Keep a eye open for a 777 that might be parked in an odd place.

Actually I had to read this twice to figure out what Missionary Position this post was about.

I'll just be supporting the IT systems of CRS.

I got some counter intelligence training but fortunately Kyrgyzstan is a fairly safe country. I'll keep an eye out for spooks though...
