Yankees come home to face LAA but then go back to the West Coast at months end to play the LAA. Makes little sense to me.

very little MLB does makes sense lately...

any Numismatics or Coin Collectors Here??????

ever hear of a 3 cent nickel.......? Seriously...?

What's so odd this year not only with scheduling, is:
Teams like the Astros, Mets, Minny, KC, Halos, are amongst those at the bottom stat wise in all aspects, offense, defense and Starting Pitching (SP). These few teams, & a few others, are amongst the worst in ERA, & B'Avg, yet are either 1st or 2nd in their Divisions.

Yanks have been dealt a rough schedule over the first month 1/2 or so.
Yep, and as the baseball gods will have it....they still have a road trip facing the current best team in the league (Houston) and the never easy Angels.

I'm already thinking 3-4 would be acceptable for that trip...and it would be..imo.

To date the Yankees have played more road games than any other team in baseball. 32 of there 1st 54 games have come away from the stadium.

You would think they could try to balance, and minimize travel mileage.

Tough schedule all around for the Yanks.
They have played 22 games vs Detroit, KC, Wash, Mets and Baltimore (7)
Baltimore is still a solid team and defending Div Champs...never easy, and games against a very competitive Mets' team are far from easy or low profile.

Toss in 10 more vs TB who have been surprisingly good and -imo- the games against Boston are kinda usually a tough grudge match.

That's a lot of games against tough competition.....the Yanks have also done well up to this point having a 8-2 record vs teams who had the best record in MLB at the time.
Detroit, Mets and KC.

Astros are tied for 4th in runs scored (A.L), 6th in SP ERA, 12 percentage points behind 5th best team.

Mets are 5th (N.L) in SP ERA, 17 percentage points from 3rd place Dodgers.

Minny is 6th in runs scored, 3 runs behind 4th place team.
Their SP ERA is 5th in the league.

KC is in the middle of the pack in runs scored, 4 runs behind 4th best team.

Angels are 3rd in SP ERA, almost 1/3 of a run better (lower) than the 6th place team.

Sports' scheduling is done by nondescript individuals who
have accomplished nothing.
