I thought his explanation about picking #7 was cool. It was weird though to see someone else with 7. Even if I don't think Roy should have his number retired, it's still weird.

How do people feel about Mo taking Roy's old number? Personally I don't see #7 getting retired so not a huge issue. I think some would disagree though.

I understand why some people feel it's "too soon". OTOH, maybe it will always be "too soon" until it happens. Maybe we need this for real healing to take place, so we can finally get over it and move on. Like throwing out some crap that reminds you of your ex. It has to be done. And now is a good time.

It actually isn't the first time that #7 was given out since Roy left. Although this is the first time the person who received it will play in a game.

People need to get over it. I don't think Mo is even the 1st to wear 7 since Roy.

If it was the start of last season; I think I'd be a little upset. Roy will always be remembered in my mind. I don't need to remember his number when I can remember the player.

Coby Karl wore #7 for us. He was good. I'd take him over Barton or Claver.

I believe that Roy's number, 7, should be retired. So I will never use it for the rest of my life.

I ask that no one on this board ever write the number. Have some respect.

I was thinking about changing my username to 7.

Probably; that was the last number he used but he's traditionally used 25.

I accidently listened to a few minutes of Chad Doing flight 750 show and had to hear him and his minions complaining endlessly about Mo wearing #7. I’m glad Mo is wearing #7. Roy retired years ago and should most definitely not have his number retired. Paul Allen is rightfully pissed at Roy for all the public complaining he did against the team during his contract negotiations to get his $84 million contract.

If there wasn’t an amnesty clause Roy’s contract would still be clogging our cap until 2015! Since Roy came back to play on the Wolves he is costing the Blazers million in insurance money which prevents the team from buying draft picks, throwing cash into trades, or possibly going into the luxury tax. Roy cared more about himself than the rest of the team. Look at how far better LaMarcus has been since the day Roy got injured. Roy didn’t want to share the spotlight with anyone.

What you don't know is that Mo also bought Roy's old house, eats at all his favorite restaurants, and is secretly banging his wife.
