I had something like this happen to me when I was 19 years old. I used to go to this arcade that was a local kid hang out. There was this brawl between the filipinos and blacks. I saw the mass fighting and I tried walking around it to the arcade. Next thing I know, a group of 7 black kids rushed me and started stomping me on the ground. They were yelling "You like this chinaman?!" I was yelling back that I'm not with the group and they wouldn't stop. Fortunately there was some gun shots that made everyone run away or I may have been seriously injured.

Anyway, I hate young groups that make their race out badly. Both of these groups were the same.

This history of white on black violence: when was it that it happened and where? Did the blacks who are currently crimes against whites suffer this white on black violence personally? Did their parents suffer this white on black violence personally? Have they talked to any blacks who were victims of this white on black violence?

At what point does this excuse end? 1 generation? 2 generations? 3 generations? 50 generations?

Wouldn't that same advice be made towards all the white vs. black crime? I mean Holy Shit man, any vicious attack hits national media within a day.

As ugly as the statistics are... 7% of black murder victims are killed by white people, and blacks make up roughly half of the murder victims. Reported, anyhow.

So there are hundreds of (mostly) black young men murdered by white people each year. There aren't hundreds of news stories covered as much as the murder of Treyvon Martin. In fact, no other recent cases come to mind. Maybe the James Byrd murder in 1998.

Murder isn't the same as an ass kicking, just one indicator of violence.

The irony of this thread is that it's using a highly publicized incident to complain the incident isn't publicized. Or something.

I was explaining the the dichotomous reporting and why so many more people are focused on white on black crime. I am not excusing it from either direction. But when every incident you bring up is how a white person is injured, it comes off as immensely biased. Pot calling the kettle black, you are doing the same thing that you wag your finger at Sharpton for doing on the other side. And it's not like you are selecting attacks where the black community is supporting their violent offenders, like is being done on the other side. These are thugs and absolutely everyone agrees with this. There is not controversy about the actual story, its just pointing out that there are violent blacks thugs in America.

Well, I would bet that most of us don't know about a lot of crimes, white on white, black on white, white in black, and it has little to nothing to do with racism, or race period.

A LOT of crime isn't reported and it has nothing to do with if it's poor white folks being the (rare) victim of black violence against them, or vice versa.

the media picks what sounds more profitable, and people get trumped up by whatever tv news shows they want or radio talk show hosts they listen to.

The rest of us know this shit goes down, and don't use it as a crutch to cry victim.

Wrong! There are groups of people who are jumping up and celebrating at these kinds of events! they LOVE it how black people attack white people. Conversely, they're the same ones who love abortions and want everyone to have them as often as humanly possible.

I think some of it's perceived racism, and institutional/cultural bias' (probably a lot of that) but some of it's just a weird acceptance of what is OK in certain cultures.

In my family (and in no way am i saying my family is perfect or even great), the idea of abandoning a family would get me shunned by everyone I'm related to. That behavior is unacceptable, and would do great wonders for all cultures to do that.

I don't know the #'s, but a disporportionate # of black males aren't in their childs lives. Some are in jail (see institutional/cultural) and some just don't see to want to take responsibility.

That's partly a stereotype, I understand.
