Yes, interesting. And figure that a highly disproportionate number of the US Senate and Congress are millionaires and it shows why they are arguing over how many, not whether, to take away food stamps from needy families!

Another interesting study I say, sorry, don't have link handy, was whether money makes people happier. It said up to a point this was true. When people feel they have enough for basic needs, a few luxuries, something put by for emergencies, they are definitely happier than those who scramble to pay the rent and worry one illness or job loss would wipe them out. But after that point (I guess what you'd call "upper middle class") more money does not make people happier. So all these billionaires demanding another tax cut (while cutting food stamps) are not only illustrating their meanness, it doesn't even make them happier.

I remember that study; something like "$70,000 -90,000 a year makes you happiest, but beyond that, there's no significant additional happiness." Stress and expectations scale up faster than the ability to alleviate stress or meet expectations.
 
Well god help me (and the rest of the world) if I ever come into a large amount of money.
