First of all not trade LMA when we had a chance, second cant even attract Monroe over freaking Milwaukee.. Just a garbage all around attempt

If Aldridge told him he would stay, why trade him

Not Olshey's fault young black millionaires dont want to come to a city full of white people where there is nothing to do and it rains the entire time the season is going.

Yea I guess Olshey just took his word for it. So your right there.. But man LMA is a damn lie

Monroe choosing Milwaukee over Portland tells me he believes (aka his agent believes) Aldridge is not coming back.

To me this is the strongest evidence yet we've lost him.

Or Monroe doesn't think he can beat Plumlee for the starting position?

Monroe wants to make the playoffs for the first time in his career and choosing the Bucks almost assures him of that opportunity. He had looked closely at the Portland Trail Blazers, but Monroe understood that 45-47 wins in the Western Conference still might not get him into the postseason.

Had to be thinking LMA wouldn't be around if he thought we might only get 45-47 wins with him next year.

Maybe it's for the best.

His first year, Neil's first move in FA was to go after Roy Hibbert.

His second year, Neil's first move in FA was to go afterr Spencer Hawes. He didn't come, and he sucked and did not live up to his contract.

Maybe it will happen again this year?

#reaching

sigh

How could we possibly get 45 wins with the current roster + Monroe? Thats unrealistic also
Our current roster but with Monroe and Harris or insert guy here (we would still have cap space to do that second one) couldn't get 45 wins? I don't believe that. Of course without those two now we are lucky to get 30.

I am not faulting Monroe for this.

Would you rather build a core with

Parker, GA, Middleton

or

Lillard, Leonard, and CJ?

The latter, actually.

Lillard is the better of the 6 players, by a lot, IMO.

Yep. This is all about how mid-level eastern conference teams can make the playoffs because the conference is so awful.

I feel bad as a fan, but I kinda feel worse for Paul Allen. Dude's got all this money, a desire to win, a rabid fanbase, but no one wants to take his money.

What more can he do?

Yea he might be done with this franchise, but at least he won a super bowl

Buy an NHL team with that money he can't get anyone to take and move it to the Rose Garden.

Fuck me Running.....yeah Allen should just sell the team...and buy into the spurs

This. With LaMarcus, Dame, Monroe, etc. this team would be a lock for the playoffs. Period.
Is it possible that MIL gave him an ultimatum? As in, make your decision in the next hour or the offer is off the table?

And the wait for Aldridge's punk ass to make a decision took too long? Fuckin hell, man

Nah, it's all about not having to work hard to make the playoffs in the east. The west is a fucking bloodbath.

I believe if Aldridge wanted to win in Portland, and he had the emotional intelligence of an adult, Monroe would be a Blazer. And so would Aldridge.

I am a big fan of GA and he is four years younger than Lillard. Not due for a big contract for a season longer than Lillard. Betting his offensive game would be easier to fix than Damian's defensive game. Not for sure either team would trade if the other offered the other straight up though.

With LMA about to leave us, this is like insult to injury. So what's our plan Z?
