Montreal and Boston going to game 7

It would be great that the Rangers make some POSITIVE history.

We could potentially have 4 game sevens on 4 consecutive nights. How awesome would that be.

I think Boston wins this game 7 hands down.

With that said how I root in this game and how I watch this game will be affected by how we do tonight.

If we win I watch pretty much this whole game 7, until someone gets a big lead if it happens, and I root for Montreal for sure. I think we would be much better off facing Montreal if we win.

BUT if we lose I maybe check in a couple of times on this game just to see the score. And I root for Boston, because I would love to see them crush the Pens in 4 or 5.

So how I view this game 7 will totally be dependent on how we do tonight.

Montreal would be a tough matchup for either team, possibly moreso than Boston since they use their speed on the perimeter. Rask is better than Price so that is in Bostons favor.

Under the assumption we win tonight, i rather play the B's as this would be their second deep run in a row and their D, specifically Chara who plays half the game, could begin to show cracks from fatigue.

I am NOT advocating for Talbot to play in front of Hank, Just throwing out the idea. Hank has played very well the last couple of games. But if we play Montreal it will be interesting to see if Talbot gets a game on the road. Doubtful but can't argue with his #s in a place Hank generally does not play well.

That's what I'm thinking too, especially with MSL in the fold now it gives them more finesse to counter Bostons size. Would definately be a better series than last year I think. Montreal is in many ways a mirror image of the Rangers, plus that building isn't kind to them.

We'll agree to disagree here fellas. I much rather play the Habs than the Bruins. BUT let's hope we can have this discussion tomorrow...:).

Don't jump on me Al. I said I was only throwing it out as an idea. What happens if we play Montreal in G1 and Hank tanks. I don't think he will. He is in an unbelievable zone right now but happens if he does. What do you do in G2 knowing that Hank doesn't play well there and Talbot was unreal in the reg season. I know Hank plays now no matter what. But you have to think about it if this scenario happens.

Lets be real for a second. 1000 series, baring injury, hank starts in every game of the series. there is not even a .0000001% chance of hank not starting a playoff game in Montreal.

May as say, well with dan carcillo's series against philly, start him in place of nash. That is basically what your saying.

Al, do you have a problem reading or comprehending what you read. I never said it was going to happen. I said the thought has to be there if Hank has a bad G1. I also said it was only going to be a thought. "I know Hank plays now no matter what." I also don't expect him to have a bad G1 because he is in the zone. Please read and comprehend before you attack me the next time.

And one more thing. Don't ever put words in my mouth. I have never said anything about Carcillo for Nash. Are you Chuck's brother? He does the same thing

Papa I guess you have a hard time reading as well. Why even being up a thought of sitting hank.you make a statement then act like oh well thats not what I would do...just saying. Well I made the exact kind of statement. ..the probablity of either statement coming reality is 1 in a billion. ....BILLION. this is not fantasy world where you just look at stats, this sport is emotional. do you really think ANY professional coach would do that to his franchise player? so please lay off the attitude when someone jumps on a statement that is pure crazy and has as much likelyhood as me winning lotto.

And better re read my statement...I never out words in your mouth. I made an insane statement that goes along the sames lines as your statement for mere thought of sitting hank.

Here's why Al. It's a Freakin message board you moron. And it's worth a passing thought because how well Talbot played and how badly Hank's history is in Montreal. I will check with you from now on to see if the narrative will fit what you think the conversation should be. And I started my 1st post by saying don't jump me for this. I know it won't happen. Hank is in a zone. And at the right time. And it's fantastic!!! But it is still worth a thought on a message board, a conversation board, given history.

I think we match up better with montreal but I'd also like to picture that dickhead lucic on the handshake line congratulating us on knocking their asses out. Whoever we play we'll be ready. Only thing I'm rooting for tonight is that they both beat the living shit out of each other and the game goes 4 ot's

And just like on a message board or if you were sitting around with a bunch of your buddies when you make a statement be prepared to have opposite opinions be voiced. Funny when I voice my different opinion its all fine and dandy calling me al tortellera. ...but when I have a strong opinion on someone elses post im the moron.

Ok, let me try this without me sounding like a dick, because when re reading it I can see how you can take it as me jumping down your throat...

Without trying to be a dick let me ask you....start game 1 in Montreal with Talbot? No..i think we both will agree to that...now lets say Hank is horrible and gives up 6 goals....are you pulling him not to start game 2 because of the building, even though he has history of being a top notch goalie...again I don't think so...

so we both agree that he wouldn't sit in games 3 and 4 at home, no reason since he is not a house of horrors at MSG. that leaves game 5 or 7...this is not Andy Moog and Grant Fuhr we are talking about.

That is why I made the ARE You kidding me comment.

Sure we can all bounce ideas and different scenarios and what not, but just like if your sitting at the bar bullshitting, you will get responses like mine.

You're not under any circumstances having Hank not start an ECF finals game. I'm not talking about the occurrence of a goalie getting pulled. I'm talking about going into the games as a starter.

I understand the thought process, Hank has never done well in that city, only issue is..this is the playoffs there is a huge difference between a regular season game up there and a playoff game.

That's the thing Al. We don't have a differing opinion. Hank is in such a zone that he carry us to the Cup himself. I am NOT in any way Advocating playing Talbot over Hank. At the same time if we play Montreal and Hank has a bad G1, I'd be willing to bet you that some reporter asks AV if he considers playing Cam in G2 because of how well he did in that building. It's not a silly question given the history. Even though we all know what the answer is.

We will probably be playing Boston so it won't matter but I was just throwing it out there before it would be asked of AV.

Was not aware StepupStepan is a reporter. Who knew.
