HA how many C's with that on their resume gets the poop end of a stick from their Coach????
 
Lopez is a very underrated blocker. I started noticing it in the boxscores about a month ago how many he kept getting and he hasn't stopped.
 
I am really impressed. From all the pre draft reports, Robin was suppose to be the defensive player. I am also impressed with his rebounding too. Brook has really shown he really is an all around big man.

Back to offense, I honestly think the offense is going to have to change. Yeah harris and VC should be the focal point but How much easier is their game going to be when Lopez gets more touches. Eventually people will have to double him. Frank dont be a stubborn ass. Develop Lopez to be dominant offensively.
 
Lopez offensively also could benifit with a few whistles from the referee. The dude gets killed most of the time when he's not fading away and no call.
 
I was just looking over his stats for the season, and it's pretty impressive.

12 of the last 13 games he's had 2 or more blocks (he had 0 against Dallas). One 5 block game, one four block game, three 3 block games, seven 2 block games.

For the season he's putting up 10 points, 8 rebounds, 2 blocks a game. Not bad at all, especially from a rookie.
 
The Nets really do need to get him involved in the O. more. Been hoping for a legit post presence for years as a Nets fan, we may finally have one, would be a complete waste not to use it.
 
doesn't hurt that everyone and their mothers are letting their man, woman, ant, snail dribble past them. Brooks has a solid game and he plays big. I hope he continues to improve and learns to stay out of foul trouble more.
 
Yesterday, he dunked the ball in the paint after he moved with his crafty footwork. That made me think of Duncan.

I don't know why Frank kept playing Boone instead of Lopez last night, Boone can't intimitate the guards that intrude the paints.

I really like this kid. He is surprising me at how good he is. I thought hed be a bust like Nick Collison or something, really good in College but cant find his game in the Pros. but he is really showed he has skills and a nice rebounder and he has nice swats too.

but one thing he needs to work on....once he gets it down low, when he makes his move, he makes NO ATTEMPT to draw a double and kick out. he just goes to score and never looks back. Its a black hole. He should look to pass sometimes...

The funny thing is the whole organization has been hoping. Now they got it. They are letting Frank limit the kid.

Thorn finally has gotten what he always wanted, a good PG and a potentially dominant C. IMO Thorn may have made a mistake letting RJ go before the Draft. I wonder if Thorn had waited to after the draft after they picked Lopez. Would he have still traded RJ? Frank also made a completely premature mistake by giving Harris the reigns. He needs to work extra hard to pull them back alittle on Harris to develop Lopez NOW. Frank needs to explain to Harris - Yeah we want you to do what you are doing but YOU have to pass the ball especially to Lopez in the post. Frank also has to change his play book to add A LOT more plays for Lopez.
 
I don't think many people expect that B. Lopez be this good of a rebounder and a shot blocker before the season. He really surpassed pretty much everyone's expectation. I am really impressed by Lopez's ability to finish around the basket, some player just have a natural feel for it. I think it is one of the most important things for a big man.

I'm not surprised. He was that good in college as a soph. You probably never saw him play in college in hte pack 10. He should've been drafted top 3, but the draft experts thought he would be too slow. They were the stupid ones here...

He's already known as a gifted offensive player, but what Lopez has done on defense recently must be making the Nets burst with pride. Until his game Sunday, Lopez had blocked at least two shots in eight straight games, getting five blocks in the first game of that streak. He's fifth in the entire NBA in blocks per game (1.94).

If he keeps this up, it'll be easy to project Lopez to one day be one of the best scorers/shot-blockers in the NBA. Oden should eventually be in that elite group, as well.
