What do you think is more likely in their careers ... They make an all-star game or they do not

I think it's unlikely both of them become perennial all stars but with their talent and the fact that both of them seem highly coachable, I do think both of them will have at least 1 all star game appearance and maybe they're like Jrue Holiday and it's just that one or two times they get voted in by the coaches.

I think Shaedon has a chance to be there a lot. If he puts it together his style is so much fun that I think he'll end up voted in by the fans year in and year out. I guess the same could happen for Scoot too but it's most likely that both of them just end up borderline all stars that get the nod a time or two in their careers.

I think Scoot has a better chance just because of name recognition. Casual fans know who scoot is, and I bet outside of Portland Shae is a unknown. Fan support and name recognition are a big part of getting to the all star game.

Maybe all-nba is a better criteria. They are capable but competition is fierce.

Sharpe’s insane dunks are the kind of thing that get you votes. He just has to be more consistent with his scoring AND we have to win more.

Scoot will be on the Deron Williams level, Sharpe will be a dunking Brandon Roy.

I think it is Scoot. He has much more personality and you can tell how obsessed he is with improving. Kid just has that it factor and I think this offseason he makes a jump.

You know it’s funny, I remember when people got all hot and bothered when some of us suggested that Dame was better than Roy. Not saying Sharpe will do it, but it’s possible.
I dont see it. Dame is better than Roy, but it's sad we didnt see more of his prime for a better comparison.

Roy wasn't even my favorite Blazers during that time. I was an Aldridge guy and sided with Andre Miller. But Roy could take over games. Kobe said he was special and he was. I dont see Sharpe ending top 10 in mvp voting in his career.

This is the year Sharpes gotta take that step. Otherwise we are gonna max that guy on potential.

The problem is that neither Scoot or Sharpe have the same mindset that Dame or Roy have.

If Yang becomes a thing they'll both get a lot of Chinese votes. I'm going to play the long odds and say both make it.

Chinese votes would only be for the allstar starters and only for a portion of the vote. The format today is not like the Yao all-star games 20 years ago where he got voted in to start.

Coaches choose all star reserves.

Starters are a split of fan, media, and players vote.

I don't see Scoot/Sharpe getting voted in to start unless they truly deserve it. Same for Yang - even if Chinese fans voted overwhelming for him he would need a big portion of NBA media and NBA players to vote for him.

I assumed he was doing this back in his hometown. Nice to see he is spending so much of his off-season in Portland.
I just hope he's working on tightening everything up. He is so talented and seems to be such a good dude. He just needs to shoot every shot, handle the ball, pass and play defense with a little more... just a little more purpose and he'd be at an all star level. When considering so many aspects of his game he does lack that last little bit of effort or maybe more accurately concentration that would make all of his skills deadly when paired with that talent.

Roy had more skill than Scoot and Sharpe combined have now
