Funny how Gasol could win us a championship this year, but they would trade him for a mere $3M (the max you can throw in a deal) and fodder. Gasol went to high school in Memphis and was a huge reason for the Griz making the Pau deal.
As for the original topic, here is how I see it.
1. Miller - has not been a perfect fit with this team and has a modest contract
2. Mills - He is practicing, so there will be time to see what contribution he can make before the deadline. KP likes to make little deals.
3. Outlaw - Could be moved to a team seeking financial help.
4. Blake - Less likely to go than Outlaw since he is healthy, but it would seem that both would have gotten extensions if they were in our long term plans.
5. Cunningham - Seems like a nice prospect, but he is still not getting playing time. I do not think we are that attached.
6. Webster - His production and salary are not equal, but could see us finally pulling the plug on the Martell experiment.
7. Rudy - Cannot play beside Roy. If we can get something back in return, do we really need him to backup the 2?
8. Pendergraph - Definitely not married to him, but a nice cheap alternate C.
9. Howard - Do not see him dealt unless he gets injured.
10. Joel -Would require a handshake agreement that Joel would not exercise his option, the other team releases him, and we sign him for the MLE. Either that or we take on major salary. Not seeing it.
11. Bayless - Young, cheap, and contributing. Still needs to fix holes in his game, but would require a star coming back.
12. Batum - Same as with JB but with less flaws. Already turned down a trade for Crash, so you know KP loves him.
13. Oden - Would require a top talent coming back. Do not think any team would do this now. Only above Roy and LA since a team could take a chance if we took on major salary.
14. LA - PPP makes this very unlikely, along with his contract about to make alot of overpaid lists.
15. Roy- PPP and being the cornerstone of the franchise makes a trade unlikely.
