For me, it would be a total "no brainer" to trade Rudy if he's creating a problem for Roy. I choose Roy over any player on our team and he's not even my favorite player. What Roy brings to this team is more valuable than just points. He's a great "role model", great with media, makes others better and doesn't care about his personal stats for the betterment of the team. I can see Rudy eventually getting "primadonna" on us.
Early on in the season (opening weeks) I remember hearing of Rudy's concerns with his playing time - - and remembering back to the summer as we were trying to land the Turk...Rudy was vocal in the media overseas! He is easily capable of getting primadona on us, as you say.
My only thought on Rudy - going back to my original thread, is that he stands the greatest shot at being part of a trade. I think of all of the players in my top four or five "likely to be traded" rankings, he's also has the most perceived (maybe "real") value to other teams!
To New York: Rudy would be more valuable than Blake, Miller, or an injured Outlaw or Pryzbilla.
To an Orlando team: same thing
To a Washington team: same thing (and perhaps an opportunity to land Butler, since Rudy could swing between the 2 / 3 positions)
When thinking on it, Rudy would be more valuable to most teams over Miller, Blake or Outlaw.
Only Blake and Outlaw could have a higher value - and only to a team desiring their expiring contracts.
This is why I think a combination of Rudy + Blake, or Rudy + Blake + Outlaw = most likely trade candidates.
I don't see KP making a blockbuster deal during the season (meaning, a trade involving LMA for Bosh, for example).
