Motels near the RG

I have a friend coming into town for the Dallas game. Any suggestions for a hotel to stay at? I'm not sure how much they want to spend, but probably want something fairly inexpensive. It doesn't have to be by the max since they have a parking pass, but they might decide to just take the max if the hotel is close to it.

Thats true, plus it has the Doug Fir lounge right there so you could see some local bands play.

There is a Crown Plaza and a Shilo Inn by where I park and walk to the RG.

I recommend hotwire.com. You pick the general area and the quality level of the hotel. It's always a great deal. I haven't been disappointed yet.

I've stayed at both the Crowne Plaza and the Red Lion on multiple occasions, and would recommend either. Nice rooms, reasonably priced, decent food, decent bars. Easy walking distance from the RG. Parking is included with the room, so they won't need the pass...
