Early to think about it but AV does not seem to be a huge Lindberg fan any longer. We all know he's stubborn mule. He loved Nieves from the pre-season.

I can see Vatanen to the Rangers a real possibility. Av doesn't care if his defenseman are small. I think there is a chance Lindberg gets claimed in the expansion draft. Honestly, I think the Rangers would much rather protect Vatanen, trade Klein for an NHL ready, NHL defenseman prospect that they can store in the minors until after the draft or who would be exempt.

I think you will see some very deep teams actually remove a couple players from their roster for picks and players that will be exempt at the expansion draft. This is a risky strategy if you are a contender. However, it makes no sense for the Rangers to keep Lindberg in the role he's in if AV doesn't use him a lot and they won't protect him.

Why get rid of a player you dont use and then have to expose a player you would want to keep?

Any possibility that if the rangers keep playing the way they are, the gm goes for it again and trades a jt miller and OL/FAST combo for the sedin twins? i think those two would be insane in our system. that would essentially give the rangers a two year window cause them and nash would be coming off the books and hank would be 37 by years end.

but just imagine that line of zucc and the sedin twins. this team needs more swedes

OMG no. The Sedin's are ancient and Miller and Fast are young, cheap and fit this system much better. Miller is a heck of a player and Fast is a great role player. Why some in our fan base don't like him is mind boggling.
